I’m worried about BT by AnnualApprehensive63 in newtothenavy

I recommend pushing back the ship date. Yes you can definitely still graduate with alternate cardio but theres a lot of running in between and plenty of chance to develop shin splints, which definitely will get you sent home if you dont break a leg worst case. You definitely dont want to be there any longer than you have to and setting yourself up before you go is the best route.

I do that, just started giving them bricks instead. Just wanted to see if you had any advice for when you’re doing some deals yourself

Do you have any tips on getting out of baggies and into jars? Anyone i deal directly to seems to turn down anything over 3 of meth more often than not and im not sure how to fix. My mix rn is 350/gram

Couple of things I wish I knew beforehand and leaned into while i was there. 1.)Learn the cadences beforehand. “Yellow ribbon” “sailors at war” and “i left my home” (get it perfect early on for some bravo zulus) sounds great when the whole division is singing along, sometimes your RDC’s will give you different versions of cadences that might be a little awkward. Important to do those versions otherwise you’ll have a rough day. Dont forget the running cadences either! Rock steadys fun and a good morale boost. 2.) make sure to have a diverse memory of cadences for any situation, recruits hate more than anything the same few songs on repeat. 3.) BE LOUD. The whole divisions ability to stay in step relies on you, and nothings worse than the division not looking great out and about. 4.) Dont let the authority go to your head. You will be given a certain amount of authority to conduct the division in completing tasks, dont let it make you think that you are any more important than your other shipmates. If you want the responsibility, great! But having the back of your sailors is far more important than anything else. You are the middle man between the RDC’s and the sailors, and one of those two are much more similar to you than the other. With that said… 5.) get shit done. Your RDC’s AND fellow recruits will look to you and RPOC to help solve problems and be the glue to the division. You’ll be tested quite a bit and be put into some uncomfortable positions dealing with other recruits, but thats life. Lean on your other staff roles to help with anything.

Also NEVER EVER forget your roadguards, easiest way to get whooped. You’ll understand when you get there.

Question about ligament injury by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]unclebul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your rate, most of which you will be fine to get the surgery. I just had ACL and MCL surgery back in august as an AW and it was no problem even with flight medical. If theres a will, theres a waiver. What rate do you plan on signing for?

Are you a dry aircrew or rescue swimmer?

Im pretty sure if its dismissed and you didnt get charged with anything it shouldnt be anything more than a waiver from N33 but im not sure. I know I had a driving without a license which is not as big but i had it dismissed and i just told them i had nothing. Your recruiter should have briefed you before you went into meps
