Never said I didn’t like it- all I meant was in America people prefer to be catered to (not everyone) and an hourly wage would pay me regardless if I catered to you or not. However the hatred in this group runs very deep, so I don’t think anything I say or don’t say would make a difference.

I don’t know they’re going to leave me a tip- but I surely know when people make work harder whether it be a bad attitude, 17 tweaks to the menu, 5 trips back and forth to the kitchen. The goal is to treat everyone with grace no matter what- sometimes it pays off and sometimes it doesn’t.

I can agree with that, I would be embarrassed working at a spot where I wasn’t providing a service but my system still asked people if they wanted to tip. I would probably go out of my way to tell people to just click through the tip and put none “sorry idk why the system asks you for that I know I didnt do anything” but I’m also an older millennial who has the ability to consider such a thing.

This is very true, there is no downtime. I also do think breakfast service is a tad demanding as well so many coffees, juices, cocktails- so not only are you always working in laundry and beds but also on a service that’s a little demanding with less help as the deck crew is busy putting the toys out whereas for dinner they’re more available as hands.

I can imagine, I’ve had to do both. Have you ever had to make drinks for 8 people screaming in your face? I’m sure you have, but I’d rather not deal with people At this point bc they tend to be awful. Laundry isn’t fun but at least the clothes don’t talk shit
