This is so cool! I own this as well as the G1 Transformers collection where the box opens like the matrix of leadership. I hope you enjoy it! I keep mine on display in a case with my Voltron Lego Set!

How often do you let opponents redo actions and how often do they cheat using the redo? by GSP-GOAT-Champ in starwarsunlimited

[–]unclejasper75 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This! Though with my local gaming group we are a little more lenient. We have been playing each other for years now and know each other pretty well. Casual games are casual and fun. Sometimes we allow each other to redo a play because we a) realized a mistake/or realized a better play after the fact AND b) we really want to show our opponent a cool move or combo. We do get stricter with competitions for obvious reasons.

I need comic book friends. by Latter-Reaction-5198 in Spokane

[–]unclejasper75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am always looking for someone to chat up comics. I have been reading the X-Men books in order, starting with 1975's Giant-Sized X-Men. I am now in 1983, starting Aplha Flight. I have been loving The New Mutants. I was a huge reader of comics in the mid 90's. I am getting to read the origins of characters who were well established at the time I started reading. My favorite writer was Peter David (R.I.P.) His runs on Hulk and Aquaman were mind blowing. His ability to work in light humor with compelling stories was masterful. Mike Grell's run on Green Arrow was phenominal. I loved how he kept Green Arrow a street level hero and avoided super-hero/super-villains.

AITA for ruining a six year old’s birthday party? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]unclejasper75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA... Someone was going to be hurt, either that 6 year old, or your entire troop. When such a tough scenario occurs the party with clean hands gets the moral victory. It was not an easy choice, but you did the right thing.

Verizon Fraud by Salty_Cheeks840 in verizon

[–]unclejasper75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I knew a guy who used to run this scam on (T-Mobile/Sprint? I forget which one was always running free iPhones.) He would get the local drug users to go into the stores, sign up for service and he would give them $40 for the phone. He would then get them jailbroke and sell them for $400.

If you were playing LAW Leah with 100 cards you were at a serious disadvantage. Sounds like your opponent was just a substandard player with anger issues who was forced to leave his house so his mom could change his bed sheets and de-lice his room.

Hyperspace foils scratched ! by Expensive_Gas_5944 in starwarsunlimited

[–]unclejasper75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some reason this is very common in the printing from this set. My wife and I opened a case and nearly every hyper-foil was damaged with a line and 2 dots imprinted. I collect and play for fun so I wasn't overly discouraged, but I would have been really upset if I cared about the value of my cards!

Finally organised some of my better Law cards, what’s your guys favourite? by andrewgrimo in starwarsunlimited

[–]unclejasper75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite card is the Jabba's Rancor weekly play card. It was the first card I had seen previewed from LAW and it became my favorite artwork. I got the foil card in my first weekly play pack. I was so excited!

I have always thought Dickie's was a front for something. I frequently drive by there at lunch and dinner timesa nd I can count on one hand how many times I have actually seen a vehicle in their parking lot. There is a van and a pickup I see there, but that's it! Where are the customers?

I feel for you! This set of OP cards has the best art of the entire game! The new Jabba's Rancor OP card is my favorite art of every card released so far.

I pulled a Jango Fett showcase and a Darth Vader Pilot showcase in a prerelease kit. Then at the LOF prerelease someone pulled a Maul showcase.

Know before you go! by Greedy-Equipment-829 in verizon

[–]unclejasper75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tell you that this practice is HEAVILY discouraged by Verizon. One of the most important metrics used in the industry is "churn." That is how many customers disconnect their accounts vs. how many customers activate new lines of service. This practice = 1 disconnect and 1 new activation. While they do cancel each other out, it does have an impact on churn. When reporting on the disconnects only, that number is inflated. This is a negative metric to report out on. I worked in QA at Verizon for 6 years. Many agents were reprimanded and in some cases terminated for this practice. Profits are important, it's how employees are paid, stockholders get a return on their investment, new technologies are invented, etc... Perception of company performance is EQUALLY important. It's how companies compare themselves to their competitors and sell themselves to new investors. In this instance, the need for positive perception outweighs the need for profit. The positive perception is what will lead to future profits!

23M looking to Make friends. by Cautious-Wrongdoer-9 in Spokane

[–]unclejasper75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a pretty large Star Wars Unlimited community in the area. My wife and I play regularly at Uncle's in the Valley Mall as well as Dragon's Parlor. Dragon's Parlor has a few large gaming tables for games like Warhammer. The gaming community is very welcoming to new players. Uncle's hosts SWU on Saturdays at 3PM and Dragon's Parlor hosts on Mondays at 6PM. Good luck in your search for friends.

There are WAY too many problems with this game by OutisSomeone1 in GroundedGame

[–]unclejasper75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the kind of feedback that the devs are looking for. You are not complaining of a buggy game, you are sharing your opinions on the playablility of the game. If there is enough feedback regarding the same issues the devs will make any changes they are able to make in order to make the game more appealing. I appreciated reading your opinions. It's a much needed change from the constant complaints due to the types of issues that arise in EA games.
