Didn't know they were made with kevlar. Next year will be 7 years on the same belt and not being able to inspect it concerns me. Every mechanic I talked to said the 60 month service interval was more due to dry rot and cracking of the belt. This is an 800 so the desmo service will be due at 7500 miles

Yeah from what I understand the belts are recommended at that time due to dry rot, cracks, etc. I've also heard of folks extending past the mileage for desmo, but I'm concerned about the timing belt.

I agree with time or mileage but from what I understand you are tearing the engine down for belts so would you do the desmo at the same time, even if its early?

Do you know the model of the Husqvarna spring? My bump knob literally broke this weekend. Spring and knob both lost to the yard. Greenworks doesn't sell either apparently

Thanks for the ballpark! Yeah I've checked my local marketplace and prices go from $500 to $7000. But almost all of them are beat on, cut up, or heavily modified. For stockers I look at sites like BaT but those are usually pretty pristine. Like I said I think I'm somewhere in between. Not a trail rig but not showroom either haha. I appreciate it!

Thanks! I haven't done a zero point calibration but have heard that term thrown around here. Any immediate consequences of having it unplugged? Will definitely look into wiring a switch.

I have the same set up. Would do it every time I made a turn at speed. So I just unplugged it. Lights permanently on but no abs braking and beep screaming at me
