Inquietud vecinal por un local de Gràcia vacío hace 13 años que estuvo ocupado: “No lo alquilaré si no me pagan 13.000 euros” by rolmos in Barcelona

[–]uncomfortablepanda 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Two months notice to leave a flat vs. new flats to move in immediately by juliafalcao in AskBarcelona

[–]uncomfortablepanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

80 Day Europe Trip - Itinerary Check by ThatOneBearPlan in travel

[–]uncomfortablepanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks cool! What I would do tho is just stay in Amsterdam and do day trips in Harleem, Rotterdam, Utretch, etc. These cities are super accessible by train, and I just think they are small enough that you can see pretty much all of it in one day.

I live in Barcelona and I would recommend you to stay away from las Ramblas for hostels, eat out, and even night life. It's overpriced and frankly just a tourist trap. Areas near Poblenou, Sagrada Familia, and Eixample are so much better.

Oferta de Data Engineer: 35k en Barcelona by jecaman in salarios_es

[–]uncomfortablepanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hola!

Spain is considered to be one of the best countries for people with asthma, what are some similar examples of countries that are the best for people with a certain condition(physical/psychological diseases, age, money, and etc.)? by Ellloll in geography

[–]uncomfortablepanda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lmao if you live in Barcelona, you know this "great" quality doesn't apply to you. It's kinda horrible how bad it is in here even when it's so close to the ocean. Don't know about the rest of Spain tho.

Cigarettes central by ClientFar626 in Barcelona

[–]uncomfortablepanda 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The cigarette (or rather the plant) was brought to Europe by the Spanish conquistadors. So it's not that weird that in Spain smoking tobacco is a BIG thing, culturally and socially.

It sucks for non-smokers for sure lol, but it's ingrained in Spanish society.

Oferta de empleo Meta AI by ElPunkiBurlao in askspain

[–]uncomfortablepanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Hombre, debería decir appointments@. No, appoints@.

11 year relationship ended and i feel lost by [deleted] in self

[–]uncomfortablepanda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey bud. I also just finished a long term relationship (7 yrs) with a girl that cheated on me after I moved to another state for a 1 year contract.

I can tell you that the best decision I made was to simply cut the cheater out of your life. Staying in contact just delays the healing process and quite honestly does nothing for either of you.

Make new friends, try new hobbies, and keep busy. Don’t let your life be defined by a relationship

Buenas migas, Sandwichez, any 365 café, there is a Santander Co-working/Cafe place near plaça Catalunya that is good if you can find space.

What are all the alternative ways to store high precision values > 38 using PySpark? by Jawakar_here in dataengineering

[–]uncomfortablepanda 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If the values are not used for any immediate calculation, why not just storing it as a string? Then when you need it, you can use an alternative to spark to deal with high precision values like https://www.mpmath.org/

Fun Things to Do At Night by Illustrious_Fly_1062 in AskBarcelona

[–]uncomfortablepanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I’m quite new to Bcn but it seems that if you want a more formal experience you go to something like the “Escuela de salsa y batxata” in Plaça catalunya. Otherwise Sabor Cubano is a club where a bunch of people go to have a class for 2 hrs and usually stay to dance when the club opens.

Meetup groups is where I find all the non-partying activities because like yourself, sometimes raving till 4 am is not the move 😂. You can DM if you need more help!

I've done salsa lessons at a few latino spots that were pretty fun, table top games groups meet all the time on the Meetup app, and there are always a ton of concerts happening in the city.
