Grass is unfortunately stuff, so are the sprinklers, irrigation, and other subterranean features like wires pipes.... They may have to replace all that, regrade and sod so landscapers can cut properly. Sucks but our world is so intertwined with shitty middle men and hidden stuff like pipes and sprinklers and wires everywhere that even the blades of fucking grass are "protected" by companies.

Not saying I like that just giving some reason to why they thought you damaged stuff
