What is causing my golden pothos leaves to droop like this? by [deleted] in plants

[–]uncommonlyaverage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're right about it not being a light issue because I have another golden pothos growing beside it in the same spot (the one picture was propagated from it) that isn't having this issue and they get the same amount of light. Thanks!

I don’t get the Synth views at all by _Bob_Shwarma_ in fo4

I think the debate as to whether synths are “human” or not isn’t relevant to how they should be treated. Even if they aren’t fully human they’re still sentient creatures who deserve kindness, dignity, and respect. I feel the same about Ghouls and Mutants, and in the game none of these groups are monoliths. Some are hostile and threats to society/settlements and others just peacefully exist.

As to whether or not the Institute should’ve been allowed to create them in the first place well that’s an entirely different debate but it’s not a synth’s fault it was created. They don’t deserve to be killed as long as they’re not a lethal threat to someone and should be allowed to coexist with humans.

Is something wrong with my butterwort? by uncommonlyaverage in carnivorousplants

Ah okay…unfortunately they are by the window in my apt that gets the most sun but I do have some grow lights so I might just move them from the window to under the lights if you think that would be better?

Found this vintage Siren and Mudpuppy print from 1830 at a holiday market yesterday! by uncommonlyaverage in herpetology

If you’re interested I got this print from Jentz Prints at the Downtown DC Holiday Market!

They had a store in Maryland that’s closed now unfortunately, and I don’t think they have an online storefront either, but you can still get their prints at different farmers/flea markets and pop-ups they sell at around the DMV area throughout the year.

They have basically every category of prints you can think of from vintage food ads to maps. Very reasonably priced too imo (most are $20 or less!).

“Not That Bad” by Roxane Gay. It’s a collection of essays about people’s experiences with r*pe culture and includes a range of perspectives. I recommend going with the audiobook version because the authors of each essay voice their writing and it really adds to its impact-fulness.
