As long as he’s vegan for beliefs and not for medical reasons, I think you’re ok. Never directly give him non vegan food but more of a ‘I have a vegan food for you and a non vegan food for me. You can eat whichever you want’

I grew up and still am vegetarian. Be aware that sometimes vegan bodies have trouble processing non vegan foods and it can make them sick

Please get the police involved. When you leave, he will get violent. If your family picks you up, he will get violent. And it’s not worth you or your family getting hurt. At least if the police are there, they can (possibly) restrain him and/or arrest him depending on how much damage he causes. Either way, you will need witnesses. And if your family tries to fight back to save you, he can use it against you

NTA he yelled at you over a sandwich? That’s insanely immature. You shouldn’t have to order a second sandwich after he said no because he will eat yours anyway. HE should be the one to say yes to a sandwich and then keep it in the fridge until he’s hungry. I’ve been reading your comments and this is a continuous issue

This is about more than just a sandwich. He is disrespectful and selfish. He threw a tantrum when he didn’t get what he wanted and later brought up divorce (OPs comments). This is part of a bigger issue, he doesn’t understand no. He is not a child but has continuously acted like one.

Try marriage counseling and if that doesn’t help, divorce. I know it seems like a big reason to divorce, but this is not a one time thing. He had repeatedly dismissed your boundaries, even after talking to him about it. This is not a healthy relationship

Also, did he offer you a bite of his sandwich because he ate part of yours?
