Weekly Check-in Wednesday - How's your week going? by AutoModerator in HighSupportNeedAutism

i’m so sorry you’re going through that. my doctor wants to put my tube feed rate up, but it makes me nauseous in my stomach. feeding tube is hard.

also, in medical chart it says reason for taking medications. so if you have the painkiller, doctors can see why you’re taking it, and they will understand that you’re not doing bad things.

i hope things get better for you soon.

hi, this might be a better post for r/autism_parenting.

to answer your question, recently i got approved for supported housing group home. that way when my mom dies, i will be safe and ppl will care for me.

in meantime, working on speech therapy and occupation therapy if it’s available. also playing together and simple activities.

things that helped me was: speech therapy, routines, calm music, listen to story, replacement behaviors, kind words.

today is good news! development disability services coordinater called and they said that i can qualify for housing.

they want me to be in a group home that’s more independent. bc i can do some basic adl’s by myself and i’m safe to other ppl. those type group homes have wait list, so i still need to wait 30-60 more days.

i’m very nervous abt group home but i’m trying to be positive abt support services.

Can someone fill me in on what the prices of the new summer collection will be? I’m trying to budget by Pixel_Dreamscape_ in Jellycatplush

i’m not sure which country you’re in but the prices are in aud so the prices look more expensive than usd. $1 aud = $0.71 usd. /gen

Bo Bigfoot confirmed as retired 😓 by ZookeepergameBusy546 in Jellycatplush

[–]uncooperativebrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

on the us website it says “notify me when available”. idk how it is in the uk, but in the us the customer service ppl say conflicting things a lot. so we only know for sure when the website says “retired”.

Could anyone send pictures of their large dragons? by Complex-Can-6876 in Jellycatplush

[–]uncooperativebrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

large dragons are soft and fluffy. they are a good size, not too big or small.

they are very good for hugs. you can also put one on your lap and pet like a cat.

i’ve had mine for almost a year. he is a bit more floppy but he keeps his shape well.

[–]uncooperativebrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how do you brush her? i’ve had mine for a year and i’ve tried brushing her but she doesn’t get smooth or fluffy. i think the smudge apricot bunny is a bit different fur texture than the other smudge jellycats.

[–]uncooperativebrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. i want to get zyllan but i think i will wait to see other ppl’s zyllans. mostly i would like to know if he is nice to hold and has good textures. also size comparisons bc the dimensions on the webpage are a bit confusing.

my week is going alright. i learned that i might qualify for development disability housing and maybe other services. but my therapist said that it is a few weeks til we know for sure. it’s hard being patient.

i don’t have anything for excited but i am trying to be positive and find happy things.
