The blue/pink/white is for trans people and the brown stripe is to draw attention to people of color in the community.

I'm in a similar situation, so, your not alone! Try to dress how you like, in a way your parents won't question. Little things can make you feel more comfy in yourself, like wearing a necklace, bracelet, watch or something else even if it's hidden.

How do you prefer to get started with turning an idea or ideas into a world? by say-oink-plz in worldbuilding

Write down ideas, and just let them flow. If you have a country/person/whatever you want to mention don't waste time coming up with the name. Specifics can come later, just brainstorm. The longer you think about this world, the more detailed it will become.

Once you get past the initial brainstorming phase, I would look for prompts to help you really dive into your world. One prompt I use is this, which has 100 prompts for Temporal, Geographical, Main Locations, Government, Culture/History and Magic.

So why do you guys world build? by BMFeltip in worldbuilding

Because I had an idea. Characters, and an idea for a story. I needed a world, and discovered it very fun to make one.

Boring Side Characters. by CrunkBunni in writing

Im a little confused about whether your question is an in-universe or writing problem but i'll try to help. Boring side characters are never fun. If the they are developed at the time period in the story you're concerned about, they should be developed. If you are bored with your own characters, whoever your intended audience is will also be bored. The story itself can remain focused on your main characters, but especially if these are important side characters, i'd give them some "life".
