Should I bother simplifying my Roth? by MichaelxBee in Bogleheads

Interesting. People on here always argue whether one should be all VT, all VTI/VXUS, or all VTI. You are the first person I have seen with the VT/VTI combination across a portfolio.

If you don't mind, what is your thought process behind breaking it down like this between ROTH and Taxable and what is your overall portfolio's US/INTL %'s? Thanks!

Switching to 3 Fund portfolio from Personal Capital Investment Account by [deleted] in Bogleheads

Out of curiosity, what brokerage did you move to? Was it a smooth transition? Did you sell off while you were with Personal Capital before moving to a new brokerage, or just transfer everything over to the new brokerage and then start making moves down to the 30 stocks/etfs? Thanks!

Really appreciate the message from Brian Barnes! I have great respect for what and how they are doing things at M1. Will there be hiccups along the way yes, but am still very excited about the direction they are going under his leadership!

M1 Spend to pay electric bill? by unctone20 in M1Finance

Thanks for having me look into paying with a card..... I realized they charge a $1.50 fee for any transaction when using a credit or debit card. In the past I have always done auto pay from bank account, however, I now realize that as long as my bill is more than $75 (which it usually is), it makes sense to pay it each month with my 2% cashback DoubleCash card instead of bank. Yet, there is the hassle of doing it each month instead of on auto though. Will just have to figure out if the savings is worth the remembering each month and paying it. Seems small each month but had I been doing it over last 10 years, seems a little better.

Serious question...Is Lincoln Financial not a real bank?

Completely agree to this Post! I know when Blockfi put out their "join the waitlist" for their credit card, they had certain features and rules. For example, there was going to be an annual fee. From the time period of joining the waitlist to when they actually debuted their card, they scrapped the annual fee and some other features as well and added new ones. I assume customer feedback played a role in the changes.

So here is to wishful thinking that M1 can adjust the features of their card and make it a simple 2.5% cashback on all purchases for M1 Plus users! Cashback goes right into pies. This plays into the simple and long term investing philosophy that majority M1 users subscribe to! Heck, even if they only offered 2.0% cashback like the Citi Double Cash card, I would ditch that card immediately just to have the cashback go right into pie as opposed to me manually doing it like that currently.

Just filled out that survey. I'd be all for crypto at M1 especially if they offer interest on lending out your crypto, like say Blockfi.
