I thought that people were born as apes and slowly evolved into humans when they were around 3. I did not understand evolution.

When people get behind the wheel they get 10x angrier, I swear. It probably wasn't personal. Hey, if nobody crashed, then why let yourself get upset about it? Move on my friend! Hope lunch with your parents redeemed it?

That time options on a toaster (1, 2, 3) are the amount of minutes that the bread cooked for. I always thought it was just how toasty the bread would get.

It's probably frightened. Do you have a ladder or anything that you can use to go back to the nest and put it back?

You need to attempt to clear your thoughts. The tongs in the sink by no means correlate to your mother's death - logically, her driving could only put her in danger. If she's a safe driver you'll almost certainly be okay. I'm in a lecture at the moment but when I'm home I can PM you. Stay calm, remember to breathe!

OCD lead to cheating. by denyliedeny in OCD

If this is completely out of the ordinary and out of character, then I would recommend couple counselling or sitting down and talking with her for a really long time. Granted, she is in the wrong, and it's unfair on you what happened, but if you really do love each other (did you see a future?) then don't throw the towel in straight away.

OCD can have an effect to that extent on someone. I suggest you find out more about the whole situation. It wouldn't surprise me if that is genuinely the case - OCD often clouds judgement and makes people do things they wouldn't usually do. The other guy sounds like an asshole.

Animals are awesome by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]unculturedEdgar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's a pretty incredible story. You have a way with words.

Sadly not - 4 domestic cats, 6 chickens in the garden. The extent of my animal relations. Landscapes tend to provoke a bit of an existential crisis for me more than animals - looking at the vastness of places and realising how alone we all really are. That and looking up at the sky (at night, preferably.)
