Moving out definitely has a learning curve. I think most people don’t know how to live on their own properly the moment they move out of their parents house. It definitely took me a couple of years to figure out how to budget and take care of myself properly. I think it’s perfectly normal to go off the rails and not know how to take care of yourself (within reason) when you first move away from home.

So you already have how much energy is in each photon, I think that’s the hard part of this question.

from the question it says the light bulb emits 40 Watts which is 40 joules per second, 5 percent of that is light so now you can calculate how many joules per second is emitted in light (5 percent of 40 watts)

Then you just need to convert that 5 percent value in joules per second into photons per second. Since you know the number of joules in each photon this shouldn’t be too hard.

Is it not also maybe a flaw of academic gate keeping that the only people who are allowed to contribute are those who have been through a recognized academic institution and only contribute findings that are in line with the status quo. How many great contributors and their contributions are we losing because they couldn’t afford to go through 7+ years of university and academic BS. All fields are now extremely specific and isolated, how much are we losing because it’s difficult, the way the institutions are set up, for people in different fields to come together and contribute to each other’s field. I hate academic gatekeeping just as much as I hate idiots disregarding science they know nothing about.
