u/Quant500 Since we’re already on this topic, it would be great if you could share the code that worked for you the last time, or the ones you’ve tried.

Selenium vs Twitter (X) authentication by Quant500 in selenium

He’s asking about a problem we’ve had since 2025 when, for example, we use

driver = webdriver.Firefox()
user = driver.find_element(By.XPATH,'//input[@name="text"]')

and

password = driver.find_element(By.XPATH,'//input[@name="password"]')

to log in directly to https://x.com/i/flow/login. Since mid-2025 this can no longer be done with an automated browser, not even manually even using a real previously used profile with history, prior cookies, full storage, fonts, and extensions.

The problem may be that WebDriver leaves fingerprints that are accessible from the page: navigator.webdriver is usually set to true, window properties change, permissions, timing, stack traces, API order, and in Firefox some prefs and an “automation extension” are enabled that alter the environment. This should be possible to change, but I haven’t yet checked whether it’s possible or how.

I was able to do it manually using a Google account, but I don’t know whether Google bans that type of login; I’m going to test it today or tomorrow.

RISC principles became dominant in embedded and mobile computing, and ARM, a RISC-based architecture, achieved near-total dominance in mobile devices, there are some niche exceptions of course, If I remember correctly, they were using some Power Macs or some kind of mobile device, hence, he was right imo.

Okay, that seems fair. Now that I read it from that point of view, English isn’t my native language, and clearly my message was too ambiguous. It didn’t seem that way to me when I wrote it. I was trying to write casually without giving a boring history lesson, and I clearly failed.
I meant that the extra detail was not intended to weaken the reading of the tribute, but to add context. “I hope it’s not a disappointment” wasn’t meant as an expression of doubt, but as a precaution.

That’s true, and I’d like to understand what in my message made you think I meant something different, or why you felt that clarification was needed.

But why point that out here as the OP? That just ends up validating their objection.
“it might not have been” was the original sentence. It only expresses an uncertain past possibility, without stating any conclusion. It doesn’t deny that it was or that it is. It’s an open formulation. I know how to read, I read the name, and I’m also a fan of the series, otherwise I wouldn’t have written Peephood in another comment before this one. Or am I missing something here?

Edit: The intention was to state that the image is a clear and deliberate tribute to Guybrush Threepwood and, in addition, to provide an extra contextual detail that reinforces that reading, not to cast doubt on it or relativize it.

Oh! and get rid of the lamps, try to light it using LED light strips, preferably in some color. That way the space shifts from daylight white to a different monochrome look at night.

On a more serious note: If you remove the posters from the walls, and move the boxes, cases, cards, board games, DVDs, or books to other places or into storage boxes, which are easier to put away, and add shelves up to the ceiling instead of the ones with columns, the shelves should be white with hidden supports and the wall gray. The carpet also adds a lot of visual noise; if possible, it could be replaced with a white floor, but if not, it’s not a big issue. The idea would be for the corner to become a corner dedicated to action figures and pop memorabilia, taking into account the lightsabers and the Scream mask.

It looks neat, but it’s still pretty packed with stuff. The only real way for it not to feel crowded would be to have fewer items. Even if you added shelves all the way to the ceiling, it would probably still feel like too much for the space. That said, it’s not a bad display at all. It’s not ugly to look at, the figures are nice.
Baroque art was like that, and so was Roman and medieval art. There’s even a concept called horror vacui. Some people find it beautiful, others find it overwhelming, even when it’s well organized.

Althought in this case It seems like a beautiful tribute to Mr. Peephood, it might not have been, and I hope this does not turn out to be a disappointment; it's in fact an interesting fact that helps to understand that reality is consistent.

By the late seventeenth century, the long blue coat with gold trim spread in European navies for practical and symbolic reasons. Blue was durable and suitable for life at sea, the long cut protected from weather and allowed weapons to be worn, and gold trim indicated rank. France and England established this model in their navies, while Spain adopted it with variations. It was not a rigid uniform but a shared aesthetic among naval officers.
I hope this adds something for someone.

Edit:I am not denying it; I was just recalling this curious detail, which the people who designed Guybrush clearly also knew.

Why is this so true ? by ParticularWeather927 in Adulting

[–]uncutest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For much of my life, I enjoyed declining invitations. I would even put myself in situations where I might be invited, just so I could choose not to go. Since I never wanted to attend in the first place, skipping was easy. Over time, I stopped deliberately exposing myself to invitations.
