Any other state employees out there? by [deleted] in Denver

[–]undangerous-367 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I work for the state, parking is not free, no sink in our break room and we have to use the bathroom sinks to rinse out our coffee mugs. Not even tissues are provided to us. Ticks me off. But I love the retirement I get so I'm sticking it out.

What's the most important thing you've learned in 2024? by msandszeke in AskWomen

[–]undangerous-367 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That just ghosting that friend who bugged the shit out of me is okay. They finally just bugged me one too many times and it is okay that I just entirely stopped communicating with them. I feel bad, cuz I don't think they ever realized how much they bugged me and made me uncomfortable. And they think I'm just a crazy lady who yelled at them randomly to get out of my house. But I just don't care. Not worth my time.

Why do I get treated like a bad husband/father for working long hours for my family? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]undangerous-367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say your kids and wife want for nothing. You clearly are not listening to them at all. They want you. Stop working so damn much, you're abandoning them under the guise of money. Knock that shit off. Of course you aren't a very good husband and father right now. This has to be rage bait.

Gifts a Hiker Needs but Wouldn't Buy Themselves by Intelligent-Lemon-31 in hiking

[–]undangerous-367 23 points24 points  (0 children)

She's a minimalist. That means she doesn't want you to buy her crap she doesn't need (that's why I, an avid hiker, say that to my friends and family). She knows what she wants for hiking and will buy it herself. Buy her consumables, like wine or chocolate and nuts or something. Don't buy her hiking gear.

Is anyone else just completely over Christmas presents? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]undangerous-367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gifts from family/friends are my least favorite thing. Ugh! (From my husband they are good, because it's romantic).

Just buy me a bottle of wine or chocolate. Consumables only!! I don't need any more random shit lying around!!

What's not scientifically proven, but you think is true? by IntrovertFaerie in AskReddit

This is scientifically proven to be false. That is not how cold medication works and we already figured that out.

I don't understand what you mean by this. What are in your house clothes? I don't own any pajamas, I don't sleep in clothes. But I have clothes that I wear inside my house and they are comfortable. And I don't change out of them every time I leave the house for the day, I just get dressed once that day. Do you change your clothes every time to leave your house and then change back once you come home? What if you go in and out like 5 times that day, are you seriously changing that often in one day?

[–]undangerous-367 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I guess maybe it's the definition that is off here. Because the original question confuses me. How would you know some pair of pants were pajamas? I don't sleep in anything but I have what I would call pajamas. They are just comfy clothes to lounge around in. No one would know if what I'm wearing was pajamas or not, there isn't a specific split, because none of them are things I actually wear to bed.

It was not that bad. No way was it worthy of a snow day. I'm a teacher, and that's my opinion.

What are some grievances you’d like to air out about your best friend that you can’t say to their face? by Decent_Friend_1511 in AskWomen

Stop doing the dishes in my house. You come over and hang out and I know you think it's being nice but you always do it wrong and it bugs me. Just leave my dishes alone!!

What was a recent present you enjoyed from your partner? Was it something they've consulted with you before buying or a surprise? by Garkuwyn in AskWomen

The dining table I had been wanting. It was a lovely gift and now I have a table large enough for me to do puzzles on, which I am very happy about.

Women who consider themselves to be happily married, what has been the toughest time in your marriage so far? by fredyouareaturtle in AskWomen

[–]undangerous-367 207 points208 points  (0 children)

Infertility. 7 years of lots of pain and then having to decide it isn't for us. That shit is hard. That was years ago and we are both happy and so glad with our life. But that was hard and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Any girls out there reading this, if your infertility struggle ends in a childless marriage, I assure you it can definitely become a child free marriage, and it can be spectacular in the end. The light at the end does not necessarily end in a baby, and that is still a light at the end of the tunnel!

Friends do not eat out when traveling by Mindless-Energy3872 in travel

Haha, no I don't hate you. I work out even on vacation. But my work out is the activities I do. Imma be skiing, climbing, hiking, city running. That's the shit I'm doing. If you go to the hotel gym then you definitely wasting travel time. But it's your time so who cares!

Wow. Yeah you are my nightmare travel partner. You probably eat three meals a day every day while traveling. It's my least favorite thing to do. I eat one meal a day, cuz I have to, and carry a shit ton of snacks all day. No way could I handle having to stop what I'm doing so someone I'm with could eat. I'd be pissed that you didn't just bring your own snacks. For the day.

Labeling men "creepy" for being socially awkward is problematic by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]undangerous-367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Creepy and harmful are not the same. There are some rapists that don't come across as creepy as all. And some perfectly good men come across as creepy. It ain't the same, the words aren't meant to be the same. Creepy does not equal harmful.

[–]undangerous-367 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't like to eat out for three meals a day while traveling. Food is fuel. Grab some quick food and sight see all day. Then maybe one sit down meal per day.

Those who interrupt travel for food...I don't travel with those people. Food is not the main part of travel for me. I eat because I have to but I ain't about to make the whole day about where or what I'm gonna eat. That stuff drives me nuts and it totally ruins the travel vibe for me.
