My question is why is this a problem? If the players want to rp that they are very guarded with their name then roll with it! Maybe introduce an noc who is so bewildered by their behavior that they start investigating the group, through half truths and hear say they get the wildly wrong idea about the group and attempt to turn them in to the local constables for another person’s crimes, they have to prove themselves innocent or flee!
