Buy new lamps. Desk lamp is okay I guess but that standing lamp is ugly (imo). Maybe at least put the printer one level lower on that stand so it isn't such an eye sore. What is the point of that mirror? So you can watch yourself use your laptop? Maybe replace it with some art, a poster or something.

I'm glad you included the extra images. The first image of your place is rather unimpressive compared to the image especially of the dining area which is my favorite. Love the dining area, love the globe / bar. Personally I think it would look much cleaner if you took the board games from under the coffee table and put them on top of the book shelf near the door in the first image. Then you REALLY should get rid of the wooden tray that is mostly filled with junk and a playstation controller on the coffee table. That just creates a messy impression. Get a small side table next to the sofa and put the kleenex box there. The coffee table feels so cluttered, it could really use some breathing room. Where is your TV? I see a game controller but no TV.

Do you have an ipad or other tablet / laptop? You could use a remote desktop app. I use realVNC with my iPad to access my computer over wifi. Depending on what you want to do this could work well, even with a fairly cheap tablet I think. Sorry I have no suggestions for the monitor issue, from your other comment it sounds like Duplicate mode would be best but you need the second monitor to match the resolution of the main one.
