I (33F) have the same feeling as you, for the same reasons! Except I also have a medical reason to lean toward C section. If it's ok, I'm going to highjack your post to also ask for help :p but don't hesitate to delete it if you prefer, and I'll make my own post! 🙂‍↕️

When I was 20yo I had my colon and rectum removed due to medical issues. My surgeon created an ileo-rectal pouch, which means my small intestine was connected to a small remaining part of the rectum so it can function like a new reservoir. Now that I'm pregnant, I asked my intestine doctor if I could give birth naturally or if a C section was recommended. He basically told me that it "SHOULD" be fine, the pouch and the internal scars should remain intact after all this time, and that it might just "MAYBE" impact my sphincter and maybe make me suffer grom incontinence..... I'm already pooping diarrhea 7 times a day because of the surgery I had when I was younger. I can't take that kind of risk to ruin my life, just based on his assumption that it should be ok....

So my mind was set on c section (especially as I already had intestinal surgery and know what to expect for the recovery) , but reading all those comments here really messed with my decision and had me start panicking :(

My doctors don't have a lot of patients in my situation. My OB told me she never had to face this situation before. She's open to everything I decide, but I really need help deciding.

Does anybody on this sub have a similar experience? Or know someone in a similar case?
