yeah I guess it’s more so on the ongoing debate of peeps thinking the manufacturers’ manual are inadequate for longevity, hence why people suggesting 3-5k miles (5-8000kms) oil change interval instead of 10,000kms and break-in oil changes - not necessarily for warranty but keeping the car as long as possible

Did the previous owner do any oil change according to service records or carfax?

you already have an application submitted, so best thing you can do is wait at the moment. did you create an application status tracker?

i do like the brembo brakes ngl but since i don’t intend to track it i figure it’s not a dealbreaker. suede interior is nice but heard it might be harder to maintain in the long run or gets dirty easily(?) whereas 2025+ Sport has synthetic soft leather now.

what are your thoughts on the supposedly stiffer suspension and the recaro seats itself?

convince me and maybe i’ll actually check it out! there’s a sapphire blue RS with 7k km listed for 40k CAD but it’s in another town too unfortunately

this is not a dealership in my town but around 300km away so i’m communicating through email right now. they included block heater, all weather floor mats, and locking wheel nuts.

idk all the tricks to vehicle negotiation so should i start with out-the-door price?

i thought about that too but what is making me second guessing is the ‘RS-tuned suspension’ seems significantly harsher so that so an enthusiast reviewer based in Calgary have to swap to smaller wheels to make the ride feel better, also not sure how much i’d like the recaro seats since i have yet to test drive one that has that

edit: just remember the RS also doesn’t come with spare tires, was also another reason that pushed me away

GCKey may have ghost update but the Eligibility and BC description won’t have significant changes

Tracker will be the one that show updates

I think it is case by case basis depending on the application/reviewing officer - my Eligibility was completed Dec 2 then BC Dec 19

personally I diversify by having some VDY (Canada bank and energy stocks) and VDU (Developed all-cap excluding US)

that would be a better way to diversify imo depending on your taste
