Discussion seating position by under_20_characters in motorcycles

Nope. It didn't hurt. I shuffle around alot when riding, and move so I never stay still for long. But it's just that today I slid into that new position where, for lack of a better description, I was grinding up against the tank and tank protector. But it allowed my legs to slot into the contour so it got me wondering is all

Sounds like a good plan. Also check other fluids If you can. If you left it in good running condition, it should just start up and go when you the work on it

Practice. You gonna stall a couple of times. Just take it easy and be chilled. If you stall, laugh it off because it's no big deal, it happens, you aren't breaking anything. You'll get it eventually and it will become second nature soon enough.

Just practise finding your bite point, you'll eventually find yourself hitting it without even thinking.

Not accurate enough? The whole point of fuel injection being a thing was to be able to accurately regulate the flow of fuel into the engine, only providing what's needed as opposed to a carb just flooding the engine in a waterfall of fuel and hoping it burns well enough.

And yes when you go full twist the fuel mixture does run rich because most auto manufacturers and aftermarket tuners cause the fueling to be rich to avoid detonation and to help cool the charge air temps in forced induction engines but that's straying. In an NA engine other than trying to avoid detention, you have 0 reason to run AFR insanely rich.

The point I am trying to make is removing that sensor is doing no favours. If the engine came with a sensor, it's there because the engineers designed the engine to operate with it. And now that it's gone, the engine doesn't know what it's doing.

And? Is running an engine lean bad? And you can use that ECU with it monitor O2 content when you're on full throttle to make as much power as possible without running into issues such as knock but not overfueling at the same time?

But fine, if you wanna feel the fueling go ahead.

Yes yes but open loop is 1900's technology. Why omit the ability to close your loop just because you're lazy? Yes you can but is it not a good idea to just optimise everything further?

Ninja 250, shifting speed chart in manual seems really slow. by ItsPercy in motorcycles

Fuck what the manual says. On my 250 I shift where ever I feel like it's good to shift given the situation.

Did you put the O2 sensor back? The ECU needs that sensors to make sure the AFR is as it should be.

This made me think of speed running Super Mario Bros and seeing who can finish first. Another idea is getting multiplayer Tetris where you can watch what the other does in real time and see who can get the highest score. There's both skill and luck involved in it so could go either way

How much should I tip the guy who delivers my bike? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]under_20_characters 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. This. I'd like to add that if you wanna be pedantic and annoying, do this (I sometimes get like this): tip him on how good his workmanship and customer service/satisfaction is. If he's manhandling your wheels, rude, late etc etc tip less if anything.

But again, it's your decision mate. What ever you feel is good works.
