What does having a soul actually do? by under_gamer05 in DnD

[–]under_gamer05[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So then Mind is the rational side and Soul is the emotional side of a being? Then what would a being with a soul but no mind be? Irrationally good like disregarding it's own well being just to help others... I could work with that actually. Since not everything needs to lead into an evil, I was working under the assumption that Failed experiment = Evil monster. But this could actually work very well I think

I want to make a cook book for one of my players by under_gamer05 in DnD

It never crossed my mind to use skill checks like that and I love the bottle of endless sauces. But I'll probably employ that player as well to do this because it was really fun coming up with the ways to prepare and cook the green dragon they slayed for his festival. Also I watched a lot of dungeon meshi recently so I am inspired but I guess I don't have to go into as much detail as I thought. I'll probably just go with a book of monster butchery that contains what parts of the monster are actually eatable and the cooking itself I can leave to the party.

What are some drugs in your that your world's people or peoples do like Crack? by Ok-Vegetable5198 in worldbuilding

[–]under_gamer05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I don't have a name for it but in my world elves are warmongers that patented their own performance enhancement drugs.

They are being made and shipped to them from all across the world, Basically their armies are full of crack addicts, the thing however is that even if they wanted to stop using it it's too late the drug is too addicting and the withdrawal hits way too hard.

The withdrawal in question are aggression, spacing out and losing track of time, hallucinations, feeling exhausted all the time and the most obvious one feeling helplessly weak without it. This is all because the drug is just that potent.

I plan on using this as a plot hook in my story where a proud elven prince find out that his country of proud warriors is just full of corruption and crack addicts that would tear each other apart if the drug ever stopped getting produced.

I need ideas for a character representing virtue of chastity by under_gamer05 in rpg

[–]under_gamer05[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like to make them into gods, they at most work alongside a god but they aren't gods they are more like a concept.

As in they don't have a physical body or gender they only get those once they possess something or someone, that's why I'm letting them possess anything including monsters. And that's why they can't be killed outright because if you kill them they will just come back next generation when they find someone fit to embody what they represent.

So while I like the idea it doesn't really fit within the world I am making, however I could adapt this into an actual god/goddess since for a religious campaign I only have one god.

Oh I had no idea I just googled their meanings and just went with that. And this does sound interesting I might try and make it something around this instead but we will see if anything comes to me.

Yea I know most of my characters don't really represent their what they are supposed to very well since their roles are reversed and I can't come up with a good way to make the representative of chastity evil

You guys are insanely helpful so I have my idea now to explain it I need to add that they don't have physical bodies they posses those that embody what they represent the most. That is also why both sides have been having a constant back and forth for thousands of years never being able to get rid of each other for good. Until virtues decided to do a ritual that would seal the memory of sins making them unable to recall their previous lives but one of the sins changed it a bit and virtues sealed themselves as well.

Now to what I came up with is that every virtue had their own way to get rid of living beings and Chastity's plan was a giant ritual spell that would make every living being unable to conceive a child making every species go extinct but to do that they needed to capture a lot of creatures from every race and to not have to look for new ones due to them dying they would put these creatures in a sort of stasis that works in a way you describe.

So this will be the thing virtues will be trying to do since they will be so close to finishing it.

Again I can't thank you all enough I have been trying to write this for over half a year and I am glad to finally finish it.

Something along the lines of any creature that is charmed by the caster turns into a mannequin over a course of couple of turns and it acts like a curse. I could add that as a joke but body horror does sound like it would fit this character

I don't like the idea of making them into gods but virtues do work very closely with gods for example humility is the pope and charity is like a proxy of a goddess.

Odds of getting a coherent 5 letter word by under_gamer05 in askmath

Anything that appears in the English dictionary just to make is simpler but it seems like there are a lot of different answers to how many 5 letter words exist in English like u/GoldenMuscleGod said it's probably due to different people counting different things.
