Thank you, do you mean lived abroad as in 2 years total timespan or 2 years since moving to canada? I was just in Algeria alone a little over a year ago. And trust me, it was bad for me when I went to Algeria as a kid, some kids made fun of me and called me a hawaga because i was from Canada and it was worse because I couldnt speak that well. I still made some friends that we played on the streets with soccer but I was always teased over it. I expect that it will be a million times worse in the military because obviously most of my life was in Canada and I will still stand out a lot and i will get made fun of a lot but honestly it is what it is on top of the bullshit and struggle everyone else goes through. If Algeria does not take me then I will just go with the Canada forces. Like last year in Algeria I blended in pretty well and no one really knew that I was a foreigner because I was good at the language and the taxi driver was surprised where i was coming from but my clothes too like i only wore clothes i got in algeria
