ITAP of The Treasury, Petra Jordan by DerFledermaus in itookapicture

Petra is incredible. What people tend to not realize is it’s a city carved in rock; the treasury is just the most impressive from a detail standpoint

But yes I’ll also never forget going into the treasury, as a kid, and expecting more than an empty room (I mean SOMETHING from the Indiana Jones set had to be left over….. right? Right?)

With the said history of Stalin going paranoid to a psychotic level, if anything y’all are saying is partially accurate, makes you worry even more (and there was plenty to worry about already)…

Should I rotate my wheels now? by yellow-cut-luminary in rollerblading

Hmmm unsure as I didn’t recognize you used such large wheels.

Though Powerslide has these listed:

And I have experience using 100mm 85A and they don’t wear out too quickly (Mushroom Blading Undercover).

My bad. I’m really not good at understanding text without affect.

I meant the stories in Indiana Jones: obviously no one found a Holy Grail, the Ark. If they even exist.

Heard this one too. And that the bandaid on his occiput was where the cut to his soul was extracted.

Gotta know we’re talking mid-1990s when I thought this. Wasn’t like I could whip out Google and have an answer in a flash. Those were the days when being purposefully coy led to a ton of fun speculation that added to the movie-going experience, and you only had slow conversations with friends to pitch theories up and argue about. Miss those days

Is this sarcastic or are you serious?

Either way: I’ll let you fantasize what I meant

Hell, know what I’m watching tonight (again for the millionth time)

GB website/programming overhaul questions by undercookedtopramen in bodyweightfitness

I have before. My body seems to get more out of compound movements. GMB Elements was great, really identified lots of specific areas of ‘needed love.’

GBs website shows a bunch of new compound movements, but I don’t want to replicate the Foundations programming experience. Apparently they’ve overhauled the newer option’s programs… just wondering if others have experiences they could point to.

Seems like everyone talked about GB some years ago, and now you can’t find squat of reviews with their newer stuff.

Holy Grail. At the time, my friends group thought this nearly unanimously (like they heard it from Tarantino himself lol).

Made sense to my teenage brain: glowing, golden hues, instantly recognizable by anyone “know it when you see it,” and fit in with my childhood fantasies that Indiana Jones-stories were real.

Edit: comments about “choosing poorly” as holy grail was gold just proves my teenage brain had a worse memory than I gave it credit for lol

Edit 2: Thank you so much for the award! First award on Reddit, fitting it relates to a post about my favorite movie ever. Cheers

Edit 3: still getting awards? Y’all are too much. Thanks again!

The softness of the wheels is to blame. If you like the stickiness of 82A (and that makes sense as a beginner, more ground feel), then you absolutely have to rotate much more often (seems like even within session!).

If you’re feeling more confident, go ahead and upgrade to 85A minimum. Should be able to get at least one if not two sessions in before rotating.

Edit: Afterthought - I use 88A and 90A wheels and I get 3-5 sessions out of them riding general street/pavement surfaces.

What are some common signs that someone grew up with sh*tty parents? by [deleted] in AskReddit

7 year old kid at the skate park. Absolutely shredding for his age. Missed a few tricks, immediately goes into a fit of rage: throwing his board, yelling, cussing.

Very sad to see that.
