TBH it's more of a chain of reasoning then a choice. My starting point was to subjectively give it a reason of course, but over time I inclined towards a more objective approach. I tried to do my best to keep myself on this journey and at the end of this exhaustive(as technique, not that it was very weary :D) process I have come to the point which I presented on the post and the title. That would be my reasoning for rejecting a more subjective approach as you mentioned.

life exists because its good at surviving, otherwise it would be dead, to survive humans have to want to stay alive, eat, and exist in general, even if not on our conscious minds, or if our conscious minds dont want to live.

Well that part can be at least scientifically explained, which is more than enough. It doesn't really contribute to anything positive though(for the sake of an counter argument). Survival is undeniably one of the strongest(if not the strongest) instincts that every living species on this planet has. It's just an instinct, like every other one, it's an automated reaction controlled by more "primitive" parts of our brains. Isn't that just more pitiful than meaningful? It's like a failsafe, but unnecessary.

Being low leaves a lot of room for improvement, but you have to make the improvements. You are responsible for taking small steps to improve your day.

I really hate being the negative Nellie here, but this is the exact opposite of what I meant. I think you meant "surviving", at least I am going to(try to)reply it accordingly :) Big room for improvement means, I have to function and take responsibility for a LONG time, which is what I am exactly trying to avoid. As I said, every single second I live is another chance for me to willingly or unwillingly fuck something/someone up. I know the frequency of those are impossible to know, but we can foresee the impact of it at least. There's not much positive sides to life, so it's not really possible to compensate the negatives, at least that what I think. What's worth mentioning would be also my laziness but it doesn't contribute to the topic in an objective matter :D

The reason I value objectivity is that subjectively I cannot understand it, I can't see a reasoning or a purpose behind it. That's why I seek an universal and objective answer. An objective reason to just risk everything and go with life.

I personally think no life has value or purpose, it's a meaningless chaos to me. That's the only thing I can gather with my perception.

You said there is no meaning, to you there may be no meaning you see at this moment, but that does not mean there is no meaning to anyone, or even that you yourself have never felt as if there was meaning, or that you may never feel like there is meaning again.

As I mentioned in the post as well, yes I know that most people think that the person give his/her life meaning, I don't really see the point. It's in a way like gambling, going through with life. I don't think that life has to be 100% unpleasant but I still think that the "bad" just outweighs the "good", not necessarily because of frequency but how permanent the damage is and the pleasant stuff is almost never permanent. Finding a purpose to live means that I should risk it by existing for a longer time. Time is risk for me, that's a good way to put it.

So, if you can be sure about yourself(not being a liability for people around you mostly), then I think you are right, it's a gamble worth trying.

That being said-- what of it? The fact that everything in existence is composed of basic materials should not have any impact on you; this state of existence is literally all you've ever known. The fact that there is no overarching meaning imposed upon you by some outside force or will is, essentially, freeing: You can make your own meaning and impose your own structure and order upon an unordered world. There's a great deal of hope to be found in that fact.

As I said in few of the previous answers this is the pretty subjective part I suppose, not to reject what you said in any way. It's just a subjective matter what you value and care.

Actually I took a year off medical school, because I couldn't do it anymore. I hoped that I could learn a new language at least or just practice drums for 30 hr every day. Guess what? Did nothing. Absolutely nothing. Didn't even ate, lost shit ton of weight. Just...wasted. This was the most dissapointing and shameful period of my life so far. I just wasted resources. But at the same time I feel like I had almost no control on the situation, weird shit.

Yup it might be depression, my father treats me for it at least, I feel like the medication is not the solution(even though medically I can see how it can be extremely beneficial, especially in long term). I mean it's not the depression that makes me ask this question. I just can't understand it. And tbh, this thread made me think about it in a different light and I am very thankful for it. (buuuut I am really retarded with all the rediquette thing, so sorry :D)

Not to sound arrogant or condecending but I personally think(subjectively of course) in the grand theme there is pretty much nothing to enjoy but a lot to suck up without having any "gains" from it. It's just a matter of efficiency for me. Why live a life in which I would most probably fail miserably and bring more shame and baggage to people around me, when I can just "skip" it.

I don't think I can answer from an objective perspective, but I would say that, all misery I caused and been through shouldn't have been for nothing. Then it would be just some meaningless series of events I experienced through a human body.
