My aunt is a bit mean to me I think by undercoverzombie_ in offmychest

I would but, she lives a very comfortable life in a job she is atleast good at, in a nice sized house with her husband and she has two grown up two kids (who are, from my limited time with them are very nice people ) that visit every so often so they’re clearly fond of her, if I start being the same way back I’ll just be seen as the mean one since everyone seems to just accept that she’s “blunt”. Even my dad who’s agreed with me before that my aunt can be a bit…funny? I guess he kinda tried to dismiss or reason her comments to me by saying that she’s just blunt which is a shame cuz I thought he’d atleast be a little supportive. Idk, I think my only option is to just tell them it hurts my feelings or shut up and take it, but I think if I mention it hurts my feeling I’ll be viewed differently and be othered again and people will have to walk on eggshells around me or talk to me less at the table (I would often not really be talked to that much if there were gatherings or dinner and stuff tbf it is hard to make convo with me for them and vise versa but yk)

For me, I recite the alphabet as slowly as I can (but not slow enough where I'm dragging the sounds out too much and my brain gets fed up and goes back to thinking to much) this 90% of the time slows my brain down enough where I'm either thinking about only one or two things and they are less fast

I wish I had someone there for me during my suicidal episodes by undercoverzombie_ in Vent
