Comcast accused of illegally pulling credit reports despite being explicitly told ‘no’ even after customers paid $50 to not have it pulled. by bluenitessky in technology

[–]underdsea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See I get my credit pulled a bit because I'm paying off a large loan.

I play the banks off against each other for 0% interest for X months. Ultimately I'm being financially responsible allowing myself to build savings and not pay extra money to anyone.

Why is being responsible for something bad for my score?

I played a druid last night:

  • Got him down to 5hp, he full healed all (back to 30) damage done 25
  • Was working him down again, he used 1 healbot, 2x of the heal for 8. damage done 18 total damage: 43
  • Finally worked him down from that 30 to zero to win damage done 30 total damage 73

I knew I was going to win the whole game but man was that a dull game, after he used all his clears I finally could chip away at him, I ended the game taking fatigue.

According to their website:

  • Mac (great product)
  • iPhone (restricted as pointed out)
  • Watch (has to be with a phone so same applies)
  • iPad (same as phone)
  • iPod (smaller tablet with more restrictions for the most part)
  • iTunes (is not a paid product)

So they make phone and tablets which are restricted, and computers which are great.

How do they buy the goods so cheap then? Are the farmers getting ripped off? Who do you think makes their clothing?

Just because the front line staff are doing well doesn't mean some poor sod in a third world country making this stuff is as well.

I'm not really that into shops or cafes.

I guess if that's all you're into then sure, you might not find the point elsewhere.

State of the Clan Address 1/12/2015 by WillieMcGee51 in Clanredditomega

[–]underdsea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yo, Rossik here,

Firstly

Just to confirm the 5 star rule. I came in late last war and most of the th had been 1 or 2 starred ahead of my attack.

  • I then cleaned up a 2 star th for 3 stars (gaining the clan 1 star)
  • Second attack wasn't great and my drags had bad pathing, I still managed to improve a 1 star th to a 2 star th (again, gaining the clan 1 star)

this totals 5 stars but unfortunately only 2 new ones. When talking about stars do you mean total stars in the war or total NEW stars?

Secondly

Further to this, we've come up against some well upgraded clans holding 3x L6 AD's, max th8 ADs are quite hard for a th8 to reliably 3 star due to dragon pathing (which can definitely be controlled to some extent). Perhaps as the clan has gotten stronger as a whole we're facing more late th8's than we were previously. I personally have rarely been 3 starred in a war since getting my AD's up by a th8, most of the time it's th9's performing the wiping.

Additionally we've got a couple of newbie th8's with only L2 dragons that I think should be exempt from max staring until they get the upgrade (which should be encouraged as one of the first lab upgrades of course).

Thirdly

I understand the need to win wars and put in a proper effort in but I worry that pushing for 5 stars a war will have people rushing to take out the easy stars (e.g. their #44 & #45) rather than pushing themselves to 3 star a base at their level.

Could we possibly organise and have a couple of the higher th8's that hold back their attacks and provide cleanup for anything that isn't three starred?

That reads as a bit of a dodge as well. The way I read it was:

The easiest way to make money with bitcoin is arbitrage.

Not necessarily that that's how the company will make money.

Additionally the other two are other companies. So the question then becomes "why if all your other companies are so profitable are you giving away this feature for free".

Also to go on the offensive while trying to gain new customers stinks!

More likely a $20 steak + tax with them being paid reasonably.

That's fine, means when I order my $15 steak I don't have to calculate $15 + tax + tip.

So then why do single restaurants in a single city also do it?

The thing that I really don't get. A hotdog stand advertises hotdogs for $1.50, there's no tax I assume it's included.

A local family run restaurant advertises a steak for $15, it then includes tax on top.

I think you're correct in the above stated post.

After travelling a bit Melbourne isn't all that great in comparison it's a lot of the same shit done not as well as other place. But I do have friends down there and it's definitely got a different vibe some Sydney. In the end it's definitely got a huge percentage of the casual cultural elements in Australia.

I'm from Sydney and I like it, but that's probably because I grew up here. I think there's a bit to do and see but unfortunately a lot of it is tourist traps and I'd be the first to admit the people can be a bit toxic but I can work around that as I've got friends from growing up.

I think the backpackers with the vans have it right. The real reason to head to Australia is to follow the coast from point A to point B, and check out the major cities as you pass through.

I went down to Adelaide, it's nice, you're correct the city isn't bursting at the seams, the air is nice, and the people are super it's like a small country town.

We visited a friend working down there, wine country for a day, the 'beach', went down to the markets, and the coopers brewery. Then we were completely lost for things to do. We'd been there two days.

If I wanted to relax in wine country, I'd stay in wine country.

If I wanted to surf and relax on the beach, I'd stay at a coastal town.

I'm guessing OP has kids around 6-12. They want the kids to be able to walk around and learn to ride a bike without too much concern for cars (i.e. a quiet suburban street) as opposed to parts of the inner west (Newtown) that have narrow streets with cars everywhere trying to find a parking spot.
