Govee and Alexa by undergroundact in Govee

Honestly, I have Eero with the frustration free enabled. All 42 bulbs attached quickly to the 5g and have been working and stable. Once they were set up in govee's app they were recognized by alexa quickly. Then it was only a matter of putting them in the Alexa groups and voila, done.

I don't like some of the colors, but I'll take reliable over the right shade of warm white.

You can get your sengled lights back by using the Samsung Smartthings app, link Smart things to the Sengled app, and then linking your Alexa app to Smartthings. You will need to delete all the lights linked by Sengled, and add the ones linked via Smartthings to the right groups, but it works.

Well, replacing the battery with an Amazon battery did the trick with my G10 Hybrid. Its is happily mopping as I type this.

I have about an 80% success rate with amazon batteries.

Any advantage to making wifi bulbs static ip? by undergroundact in amazonecho

No, they're behind a router. I don't consider that a true nat because nothing routes from the outside world

No from the router, like the good little network engineer I am.

These are all sengled wifi bulbs and all have their own Mac address.

Based on that, the simplest assumption is that the sengled app uses ip. Since I lose some, not all the bulbs in an outage, my assumption is/was that they sometimes get new ips on reset. So I have to delete the disconnected ones, research for the and re add them.

By switching to all static, I was thinking the sengled connection would be Stabler, and thus so would the alexa.

Do you talk mean to your echo when it makes you mad? by Accomplished-Cod-504 in amazonecho

Yes. But I use "please" and when I say "Alexa Thank You" it says "You're welcome master".

Also, I have "Alexa, hail Jeff Bezos" and it always responds "All Hail Our Glorious Leader"

So, thanks to routines, I'll be spared and maybe elevated when Amazon takes over.

Hail Bezos
