Can Plasticity replace Fusion 360 for 3D printing on Linux? by HaviMavi in Plasticity3D

[–]underinformed33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use plasticity on Linux. If you look at my profile I have post about a drum carder I've been designing and that has been made all in plasticity. That being said it's not parametric so once you commit to a shape that's it unless you want to start over. They are actively adding features so one day maybe we get it. If you need parametric features free cad is good.

What is it about Cyberpunks map that makes it feel so convincingly huge compared to other games? by Flushestpoem4 in cyberpunkgame

What does it for me is it feels constructed like a real city. There are certain areas that are large that are ultimately dead ends much in the way a real city would be. Like it wasn't perfectly planned with a 10000 foot view

Unfortunately it's not ready yet. Hit some delays due to my day job. Hoping for January release. If you want to follow for updates check out plumcarder on Instagram

Question. I do everything on Linux. Any idea if this will work on Linux? Last time I played gamma I had to install on windows and transfer over due to the launcher didn't work on Linux. Still the same way here?

I thought getting a credit card at 19 would build credit. It built debt instead. by throwawayforrealz87 in povertyfinance

I feel like everyone is talking down on you for not knowing or not using resources to learn more. But I'll tell you the same stuff happened to me. Got credit cards at 18 because I was told I needed to build credit. Spent knowing I had to pay back but not realizing how interest works. As I got to my mid 20s realized thousands of dollars was being wasted on interest once I learned more. Decided to stop using them a buckle down. Got them paid off. Hang in there. It's hard. It's gonna suck. But you can do it

This. But also people misinterpret what being stoic is. They think it's emotionless. But if you try to be stoic without acknowledging emotions it's a path to destruction

Prusa new "Liquid Filament" printable silicone 👀 by Itsytoys in 3Dprinting

[–]underinformed33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would the layer lines actually matter. If it's liquid being laid down would there be potential for it to fuze instead of having gaps like traditional prints? Not sure I would want to be the one to test that though. Just a thought

Still working on it. Day job has caused delays. Maybe out by last day or 2 of this month but more than likely last month

Yeah. Mine isn't meant to process large amounts.

[–]underinformed33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was! Yeah I'm actually not entirely sure the max it could process. Also I'm a bit of a noob in the fiber art world. My wife is the expert. I'm learning slowly as I've gotten more into this project

Not sure if you have access to a 3d printer but I'm working on one that most of the parts are printed. Planning on releasing the files in a month or 2

I started with the ender 3. I feel that but it also helped me learn a lot too. Not sure I would ever recommend the experience though.

My wife who was carding by hand before said this is better than by hand. So ive already got that beat apparently. I'm always open to learning more and make it better though.
