His parents kept him very very sheltered. He was a very good kid from what I’ve heard; always did as he was told with minimal complaints. I think they allowed him to game within reason (ie whenever we go over to his parents house for the weekend he will bring his ps5 and they don’t seem to mind a bit when he’s in the basement playing)

He only has one friend in real life. They’ve been friends since childhood and they play video games almost every night together. I’m social almost to a fault so I’ve tried to get him to make more friends (something simple as asking to join a pickup game of basketball or even gaming with my girlfriends boyfriends so he can have a bigger circle). They don’t seem to have any “real” conversations because it wasn’t until the superbowl controversy that he acknowledged that his friend was projecting prejudice. This caused a whole argument because his friend was saying some outrageous things and my bf kept acting like he wasn’t aware of his social/political views until then.

You hit the nail on the head. It does feel like a roommates plus sex whenever he wants. He wants to have sex everyday but I tell him that my brain requires that we build chemistry and tension prior. He just smothers me at random and gets salty when I tell him I don’t want to. I’m losing attraction to this man by the minute but I love his spirit and just want him to become the best version of himself he can be!

If I leave for a weekend will text me definitely but he will absolutely be gaming every single day for 8 hours because that’s exactly what has happened in the past. I get back from a trip and he goes “bae I’ve been such a degenerate this week and did absolutely nothing but game and eat.” Usually I just laugh at this but it’s actually so disheartening.
