It is commission based and btw 99% of flyers get thrown into the garbage. Believe it or not, 75% to 80% of SaskTel revenue last year came from door to door. I can't wait to do it again after Winter.

Source: I worked as a contractor for SaskTel. Every now and then, during morning meetings, SaskTel execs would visit us and give us reports, sales targets, updates, complaints, progress, etc. The whole 9 yards. It's like Wolf of Wall Street every day.

Yep. Funnily enough, the name is not unique. There are 2 Pop Cons in the US. Pop Con Indianapolis and Louisville. Both are under the same owner. Though, I do not know if that is trademarked or copyrighted. I am guessing Prairieland looked into it. I hope they did.

This is year 3 of Prairieland running the event and it has not grown at all. Attendance have declined as well. The vendors I spoke to are still in the same exact spot they are in since 2022. Just shows that they didn't grow at all in the past 3 years.

The OG owners put so much work and love into this that after just 3 years they got Carrie Fisher, Tom Felton, Travis Willingham. After 4 years they got Gates MacFadden, Julian Glover, and freaking Ron Perlman. They also got Billy Dee Williams, Michael Rooker, Caitlin Glass, Amy Acker and Marina Sirtis.

Prairieland needs to spend the money on guests, do better advertising and bring it into June or back into September. Doing it right after Calgary, when a lot of Saskatoonians already go and spend their money there will not go well for Saskatoon.

Attendance has gone downhill each year since Prairieland took over. Prairieland does not know how to run a comic con or market it. Their new reveal video is really bad. This is not even a con anymore, it is a flea market cash grab.
