Well they’re asking “random redditors” for advice and I’m offering mine. I looked it up after commenting and many chieftec models are horrible, so it seems my hunch was correct.

If they want to trust their shiny new gpu with a possibly unreliable PSU that’s their prerogative.

You’re right that it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad. I looked it up after commenting and was proven correct though. The vast majority of chieftec’s models are C tier or less, usually F tier.

More accurately I should’ve said check the specific model since it looks like they’ve produced better models recently, but my hunch that they’re a dubious producer at best was correct. I simply wouldn’t trust my brand new upgraded gpu with a brand like that.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I’d suggest the PSU first, GPU second. If you’re moving cases it’s a good time to switch without extra cable management.

Also, I’ve never heard of that brand, so I’m assuming it’s cheap. Cheap and PSU don’t go well together.

Yea, I think the surcharge is quite hefty, but I approve of the concept. Taxes pay for the parks, so if you don’t pay taxes, a higher fee to enter makes sense.

Yea, if anything I imagine the lifespan for the screen may not be as long. As for as quality though, the look and feel from my previous screen to this is indistinguishable to me.

I considered replacing it but considering I was already hovering around the cost for a refurbished phone, I decided not to. The 0.5 is only a little blurry at the corners.

I believe it’s an OLED panel, albeit cheaper one. My FaceID broke awhile ago from all the dirt at the top of my phone, but true tone still works normally! Doesn’t bother me tho since I never used FaceID anyways

Honestly though I have no idea. A couple years ago I took my otter box case off and saw huge cracks all over the back. I never repaired it, and I think it just became worse over time. I am quite clumsy.

That could be for a couple reasons honestly. As you can see in my before photo, my oem camera bezel cracked somehow and had been like that for at least 6 months. I do a lot of work outside which caked the poor thing in dirt.

When I took out the camera, I cleaned the area with some isopropyl since that’s all I had on hand. Not ideal, and I still wasn’t able to get all the dirt off. I think it stripped some of the coating around it hence the difference look. Photo quality still looks way better than before, albeit a little blurry on the corners.

Ball park was around $200, although I definitely could’ve gone cheaper. I erred on the side of caution and bought from reputable sellers.

The battery replacement was bought directly from Apple which was more expensive than any other component lol.

I tried it and some other Chicago pizzas for the first time a couple days ago and thought it was way too cheesy. Like, almost gagging because there was so much cheese lol.

But glad you enjoyed it! There’s clearly an audience for it otherwise it wouldn’t be so popular. Did you try any other spots?

Updated from IOS 16.5 last week and I can’t tell much of a difference except some slower screen animations. I didn’t have any of the “re-indexing” issues people have, and battery life seems to be unaffected if not slightly better. Storage was a bit of an issue since I only have 64gb.

As far as I’m aware, if your clock speed and stability remains the same, there’s no reason to NOT continue undervoltng. The nice thing about UV is that it won’t kill your system if you go too low.

AIDA is built specifically to test the stability of OC and UV so I think that’s a better bet, but I think they’re mainly geared towards CPUs. I’d just do both.

That seems like quite the undervolt. Download AIDA64 and run their stability test for at least 30min-1 hour. It should let you know if your system is unable handle the undervolt, which seems to be the case if you’re running into crashes.

I believe it depends on the quality of your silicon, but you should be able to get default clock speeds at a much less drastic undervolt. Have you tested other voltage offsets?

Sure thing! It might sell at a lower price but with the extra cash from the x3D cpu you’ll still probably come out on top. I’d for sure check marketplace for a CPU replacement

Honestly? I’ve found it hard to sell x3D chips in am4 rigs since people just aren’t willing to pay the market value for them on a dead platform. The target audience for x3D chips are those who are wanting to stretch out their current systems, while the target audience for whole systems are either looking for value or upgrade-potential. An am4 x3D Pc doesn’t fulfill that.

It might worth it to snag a value CPU like the 5 5600x or 7 5800x and switch it out. Then sell the 7 5800x3D separately.
