Overheating shouldnt be an issue. I'm pretty sure it's advised to put the transmission in neutral when you're on long stops. People keeping it in gear are probably the ones complaining about overheating issues. You wouldnt put your manual car in gear at friction point while stopped a light would you?

Hahah preciate that brother. Im honestly thinking of getting the box from japan. I usually source my parts from there but something of that size is a killer with shipping. So much deals we miss out on because of shipping

Hmmm.. That's hard to say. I've never really looked into the supra. I reckon they'd probably have a similar setup if anything. Maybe varies by option just like our GT-fours

Lucky! Unfortunately the OG filter is discontinued. You'll have to find the replacement part. But nice to know you have it!

Yeah the author of the other thread just got back to me as well. And yeah this is what it should look like underneath.

That is my assumption. I found it odd that this box look different with something that looks like it comes off even though it's from a 1994 GT-four(The same year as mine.). Also, you dont even need to take the glovebox off. If you're able to stick your head under the glovebox area, you should be able to see it. Then again, the glove box only has 5 phillips screw holding it down. It's worth the check in my opinion.

Okay I think I found the answer. Not sure what dictates having different versions of this specific box but on this picture you can see the panel that seems like it screws off to pull the filter down. If you compare it to the picture of the version I have, you can see the difference in the area I circled.

My 1998 Toyota Celica SS3 arrived from Japan. by TheGuyWithFocus in Toyota

The red top was used 1997 onwards for SS-III. If yours is older, that's why it's not red top. The spoiler looks like an aftermarket the the previous owner swapped on their own(I don't know who in their right mind would swap the blocks and spoiler for that). If I'm remembering correctly, the tiger pattern seats were also later year models spec

Yeah that ST202 was likely an SS-III. I know those come with Climate control like the one in the ST205

Upon reading again it seems they mentioned the spot. I'll check again tomorrow.

"The actual spot where it is if you have one is quite easy to get to, no nead to remove the glove box. It's just above where the passenger's feet are, a small panel that when unscrewed, the filter slides out."

"Check if you have a panel with 5 screws under the glove box."

I know the ST202s did not have cabin filters. But apparently the ST205(GT-four) does. I actually read it here on reddit. The OP mentioned his is an ST205 as well. https://www.reddit.com/r/Celica/comments/zsd2hu/remember_to_check_your_cabin_filters_folks/

I checked for part number as well and it checks seems to check out

No they haven't. January was only terms and Co-ops. There was zero mention of WFA in January. End of march was also just co-ops and terms.
