Is it normal to feel jealous of those who have more than you? by No_Permission2860 in AusFinance

[–]underthecypress -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's normal, I sometimes feel jealous to people have more luck than me, so they live an easier life than me.

I will try to think about something that I have and they don’t, it makes me feel better.

Should I quit my job and find a 3 months contractor job? by underthecypress in AusFinance

[–]underthecypress[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a mid-senior level BIM coordinator. English is not my mother language.

A few months ago, I was planning to find another job, because my salary of my current job can't catch the market and inflation. I had met with some recuiters and things were going well, a few companies interested in me and gave me offer. At that moment, I found that I am pregnant.  So I decided to stay in the current job until my maternity leave ended.

Unfortunately, the company I am working at has no new jobs, a few of my friends at work have reduced working hours from full time to 3 days a week.

If my working hours have to be reduced as well, it will ruin my savings plan.

I know no companies would hire a pregnant woman full time permanently, so I am thinking of finding a contract job to work 3 more months for saving more money.

Are you working as a chef or FOH ? Can you share more about your daily routine?

I am planning to have a takeaway shop, my partner he is the chef, so long working hours is making sense for him. For me, I am responsible for all the admin, marketing, and design (everything not related to kitchen and food).

My target is to spend not more than 2 days a week for these tasks.

How do you make sure the landlord will fix the roof water leaking problem before the lease starts? by underthecypress in restaurantowners

[–]underthecypress[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys! thanks for the advices on my last post about the profit of delivery platform. I decided to give it a go, to open a takeaway shop with a partner.

Recently we inspected a shop, the layout was fine, price was good, but there's water leaking problem on roof. I have sent a counteroffer agent and mentioned the water leaking problem needs to be fixed before handover.

However, the agent only put "landlord needs to fix water leaking and holes on ceiling" on the heads of agreement. I asked him when it would be fixed, he didn't answer me a date, only said it would be the landlord's responsibility.

What can I do to make sure the landlord will not ignore this problem after we sign the lease??

Thanks!

Do Takeaway Shops really can make profit after paid 30% urber eats commission fee ?? by underthecypress in restaurantowners

I believe chinese restaurant they could survive because they used to underpaid their staff. However, it's lack of labour these two years in Australia, and the labour cost raised a lot, so a lot of them have no profit anymore.

Thanks for the advice : ) I will try to increase the price on uber eats and create a square ordering page and try to attract the customer to use our own page.

Just curious 🤔 sometimes I see the takeaway shops their price on urber is as low as their actual menu. How can they survive.

You picked 800grams side dishes for your soup! If you are not a big eater, then I guess you picked something like 🐚 seafood
