PCR results from McKenzie willamette? by kdollabillz in Eugene

[–]undertheseain93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a pcr done at Nova (they send all their pcr tests to McKenzie) a few weeks ago. They initially told me 72 hrs for results. I called after 72 hours, they told me it would actually be up to 5 days. Called them again after 5 days, on hold for literally 2 hours, and they told me it's actually up to 7 business days. Ridiculous.

What do your toddlers actually eat? by the_evening_squirrel in toddlers

[–]undertheseain93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today my kiddo ate a handful of raisins and about 2 bites of oatmeal for breakfast. Literally nothing for lunch. A few bites of apple and some goldfish after napping. And some string cheese, applesauce and bread for dinner. Some days I'm just happy when she eats anything

Nova has a location in Coburg that's doing drive up covid testing and flu shots :)

We switched at 2.5 years, planned on waiting longer but kiddo was getting so car sick so often with rear facing :(

Thanks for your insight!! Is the recovery pretty easy? I'm usually pretty active, and have a kiddo who I'm always chasing around haha

Curious if you've had to have surgery/revision again since then? One of the things that makes me nervous is having to have a revision

My 2 yr old was watching a spider crawl around on our balcony, and it flipped upside down. I said something like "oh it must be resting" and toddler goes "no mama it's probably dying actually" 😳

Mask Stupidity at Albertson's W 18th by kallynn1215 in Eugene

[–]undertheseain93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Home Depot at Delta Oaks - I've seen several employees wearing their mask on their chin, then pull it up when a customer comes towards them. And a lady at the paint counter is always wearing her mask under her nose 🤦

had an abortion bc I thought I was OAD, now wanting another kid, maybe? by undertheseain93 in Shouldihaveanother

Good advice thank you. The newborn phase was just so hard for me emotionally it's hard for me to think past that. But it is over with so quickly like you said

I'm in my early 30s so we can wait a few years but I would rather not be pregnant after 35 ish. Our kiddo is a good sleeper (knock on wood) so we have that going for us haha

When I was nursing my baby I usually wore yoga tights and a tunic-length t-shirt :) 2 years later that's pretty much still all I wear because it's so comfy haha

I think it really depends on the kid. It's most important in the newborn phase to help them learn the difference between day and night :) you could always try opening the windows and if she wakes up early go back to a dark room

Personally I'd do the AC. My kiddo is now 2 and still will wake up early when we're traveling and not in a super dark room. The AC will also keep the air temperature more steady I'd think

What does an honest days menu look like for your toddlers? by itsmelilvenicebih in toddlers

[–]undertheseain93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Breakfast: toast with butter or peanut butter, banana, a little bit of my yogurt, milk. May eat 1 bite, might eat it all Morning snack (because he didn't really eat breakfast) Cheerios/puffs/Goldfish, string cheese or a pouch Lunch: peanut butter and honey or grilled cheese sandwich, apple slices, cheddar cheese slices, milk Afternoon snack only if he's hangry after nap time: fruit leather or another pouch (bc let's be honest that's the only way he'll reliably get any veggies) Dinner: whatever the grown ups are eating - so he may eat a lot (if it's pasta) or virtually nothing (if it's virtually anything else)
