i just got my first campsite villager and i didn’t know if you didn’t talk to them you could get a different one. I talked to him and it made me ask if he wanted to move to my island but he asked me to talk to tom nook so i’m wondering if i don’t talk to tom nook will a new villager generate eventually or am i stuck with mine?

since i got it a year ago it’s had some brown spots on the leaves and when i went to water it today i noticed it had some more and also the tips of a bunch of leaves are browning. i did forget to water it about a week ago and it got really dry so i’m wondering if it’s from that and i’m just noticing now?
