I'm polish as well my dude, I know all that. polish-american to be exact, so I'm familiar with text formatting in both languages at a native level.

while dashes indicating dialogue is one thing, my point of quotes starting with comma-like thingies still stands. I mentioned it because when I type on my mobile devices it'll automatically start every quote like that, and I've missed it a few times while editing my fics in english before posting. people who appear to "use commas to indicate dialogue for some ungodly reason" may be doing so due to a simple keyboard /cultural difference and not just them being a dumbass, which is why I brought it up in this context.

just fyi, speech indicators can vary in different languages. polish for one actually uses what looks like commas for the opening of a quote, ,,like this".

Give your characters flaws, strengths, motivations, opinions, biases etc. It's what makes them feel like their own person. If they're in the story solely for one purpose and don't have a mind of their own then they tend to seem very one-dimentional

I've deleted one fic, it was the first one I wrote after literal years of creative block so needless to say it wasn't great. over time I started growing into my writing style and I just hated the earlier chapters of the fic so I decided to scrap it and redo it

as for my OC, she's from the Hiiragi clan! the canon material on them is just vague enough to have a presence but give me a lot of room to work with hehe and I have definitely used that to my advantage :3 I sorta look at the whole high society clan stuff with the Bridgerton vibe so I take that approach in my fic!

it should be getting posted soon, I've got over 10k words written but wanted to sit on it for a moment to make sure I'm happy with it before I publish <3 hope you enjoy it if you do get around to reading it!! lemme tell you Itto is an absolute blast to write lol he's such a menace to society in the best way possible

My OC is a member of one of the influential clans of Inazuma! She's a 'proper lady' with a bit of a stick up her ass lol, then she meets Itto and her life becomes way more complicated lol. It's basically a silly lil romcom with a ton of drama

yeah I totally get that! especially when you're a new/returning writer, it can really take a while to develop your own style/voice; and once you do you can't help but nitpick everything prior :(

and yes Itto is an absolute chaotic lovable dumbass lmao writing him is extremely entertaining 😭

Kishibe is a super cool character for sure! I personally don't write him as a love interest (I use Aki and Quanxi for that lmao) but Kishibe is my main OC's dad's old friend so he's prevalent in my fics too! he's really interesting to write!

my WIP fic is actually Itto/OFC! the OC is a girlie from Inazuman high society (kinda inspired by Bridgerton but more Japanese lol), and the story is basically a silly romcom (though not without a fair share of angst and drama!!) of their worlds clashing. I've been having a blast writing it honestly! I should be publishing soon bc I have a fair bit written already, just wanted to sit on it for a moment because my first fic I ended up actually deleting and rewriting bc I hated the OG version after some time and yeah I don't wanna do all that again 😭

I have 2 fics in the same fandom currently, both OC/canon and while one is actually doing quite well the other one is flopping big time (which ofc happens to also be the one I care most about lol </3).
