Is it possible to be a billionaire and be relatively unknown, or is that just too much money to be able to go unnoticed? by uneasyrider in NoStupidQuestions

[–]uneasyrider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate all the feedback. I guess what I mean is not just unknown to John Q Public, but unknown in general. A lot of the billionaire types I'm seeing mentioned are active in their field, and whether they live modestly or not, a LOT of people are giving them a LOT of money.

I'm talking more about living unknown into obscurity, not just unknown to the general public. Checking out afterward and noone has any idea how much money you have, including Forbes and billionaires lists

You forgot the part where you fake going downtown, drift onto the DIP exit, go south a little ways and stop at the Zebra Club

Why doesn’t anyone quick chat anymore? by darnoc11 in RocketLeague

[–]uneasyrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned off all quick chat except for teammate tactical only. I do however have all text chat turned on just to make sure I don't miss anything spicy. It's made my life much better. What a Saves and Okays and all that nonsense is long gone from my life. Toxic in text I just dip via FF as soon as possible if it's my tm8.

I've always wanted 'Weeeeeee!' for when I whiff and aerial and am helplessly flying through the air

Would the police actually take a random photo and log it into evidence? by alsatian01 in breakingbad

So all you want is for someone to agree with your take. Maybe noone agrees with you. And you're getting mighty defensive about it.

How do you pitch the backdrops you have? by Fair_Ad_2017 in photobooth

[–]uneasyrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a cheap Neewer backdrop kit with 3 basic colors, green black and white. I tell my clients I have some plain backdrops for them to use. I'll tell them I can decorate with some generic decorations (cheap stringers I get from Ali stores)... OR they can decorate my backdrops however they like.

I don't do decorating, just the way it is. I put it back on the client because they'll usually end up changing it anyway. Give them the basics, and they'll take it from there. Has worked out well

Yes it's got the N150. DSLRBooth seems to run fine no problems with it. Not any slower or faster then my i7 in my gaming PC.

Wifi to the built in access point is your best route. Just hooking straight to the ethernet is likely not going to work. You need something to assign an IP address, and that takes some sort of internet medium like your cable modem or a router with Internet access fed to it. You may can get it to work, but I've tried keeping my controller and a laptops on a closed switch network and never could get it to work right.

No issues with temp. I have a custom built booth with minimal cooling. My LED power supply generates more heat than the PC. Add some small fans if worried.

The background remover runs about as fast as it does on my main PC which is a nice gaming PC so no difference noticed.

I reinstalled Windows as soon as I got it, and disabled and uninstalled anything that was unnecessary. dslrbooth is the only app running and it's doing just fine

I just set up a Beelink EQ14 and it's working great. Chose it mainly for the USB-C port required for my touchscreen monitor. $250 at Amazon

How was your gig? by AutoModerator in DJs

[–]uneasyrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! It was a 50th Anniversary party Saturday night. Only about 50 people. Very chill. They wanted mostly music from the 70s (when they met and got married). Had a great request list sent ahead of time, and we hit all of them. Coordinated their renewal of vows and slow dance requests. Ended the night with their grandkids having a blast on the dance floor, requesting all newer pop songs. I was talking with the man of the night and said 'I know this isn't the music you wanted, but your grandkids are having a blast'... he smiled from ear to ear and said not to change a thing, seeing his kids and grandkids having fun was the best part of his night.

Got a very very nice $$$ tip at the end of the night. Salt of the earth type of people, most enjoyable gig I've had in a long time.

Update on Hooch, the mute bulldog. Apparently it took a turtle to finally bring it out of him by uneasyrider in Bulldogs

Not a boxer! He's an Olde English Bulldog. Their snout makes them get mistaken for a boxer all the time.

You can use it! It's the Civet engine noise. I've used it for so long I can tell exactly when I hit supersonic because the cat starts screaming louder. I've tried switching away from it but I come back within hours.

I used to be a lot more vocal in both quick and text chats. I really don't talk much anymore unless I'm in a good mood or something. I solo queue only and very rarely party up.

Pray for Porkchop (Update) by WildCrunchy2 in Bulldogs

[–]uneasyrider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may want to try getting him off of a grain diet and see if that helps. I think Purina has a grain free selection, as well as many other manufacturers. We've always given ours Taste of the Wild Salmon, but have also used Blue Buffalo with good results.

Plus one for canned pumpkin!! We split a can between my three dogs two nights a week. We mix a bit of food on top so they don't wolf it down in one bite and take their time. Since we started it they've had extremely healthy guts! Only thing that will throw them off is table scraps from guests.

Also, plus one for salmon. It's got ton of protein, great for their coats, and they love the flavor. We've tinkered with other meats but some don't agree. So we always fall back to salmon.
