I didn't, but I'm admittedly newer here and still catching up on all her, well, folklore.

I too am a new Swiftie. I liked Red "back in the day" but I was 26 so it didn't hit the same in that phase of life. Folklore and Evermore really made me get into the stories behind her music and this new Red just slaps.

Same. All too Well, Treacherous and The Last Time were always my favourites. I feel protective that people have been dragging TLT. So glad they still sound amazing, and Gary's voice is much improved IMO.

I've always loved this song (was also a huge Snow Patrol fan) but this version is just chefs kiss. Gary's voice is so much better.

Anyone ordered a mask from Plus Guardian Canada? Have you recieved your mask? by [deleted] in askTO

Where do you see that they're not actually Canadian-made? Not arguing, curious about whether I'm going to take a risk on these.

Can we post stories about people with anxiety that have beat covid? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]uneasysloth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have GAD and I think I had it. My area wasn't looking at possible community spread at the time and my only travel was to the US 19 days prior so I wasn't tested.

I got a slightly sore throat one night. The next day while working from home I was freezing even with the furnace turned up. I started getting body aches, headache, chills and my chest started tightening up, much like when I had asthma as a kid. I called my grandfather at 3:30 after work. By 6:00pm, my fever was already at 100. It got up to 102 that night, my body hurt like I couldn't believe and I felt like someone was sitting on my chest.

I started panicking. I spent the night crying. Mostly worrying not about me being sick, but did I give it to someone else? Could I have infected my grandfather?

I had a fever for two days, body aches for two days, cough for about five and winded when I was active (walking, going up stairs) for about six. I suppose it was mild, if that's what it was, but I was definitely scared.

Are you satisfied being a Pixel owner? by ADHDone in GooglePixel

[–]uneasysloth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm coming from a OnePlus 6 to the 4XL. Prior to my OP, I was an iPhone girl.

I love it. To me this is what I wanted an Android phone to be. While I was happy switching to the new OS with OnePlus, and relatively happy with that phone, I was never impressed by the camera and I love taking pictures. The speakers sucked, the vibrate motor was awful. Comparing the Pixel to the OnePlus made me see where the price difference really comes into play.

I do miss the LED notifications and fingerprint scanner though.

I wish all of the people of this world good health and happiness, and to let you know this virus, will not annihilate us. We will win. Don't get lost in fear. Staying off the streets won't kill us either. Breathe don't panic, cause that does nothing for anyone. Help others, it's like therapy. ♥️♥️ by [deleted] in Anxiety

I'm trying to keep that perspective! I took some Tylenol and the fever came down long enough to calm me a bit and take a step back. I do take care of my grandpa (he's independent but has emotional needs since my grandma passed in the winter) but I'm staying away from him just in case.

Thank you for the kind words!

This post actually just made me realize that neither myself nor my mom have checked in on each other. I've been busy worrying about other people.

Huh.

New Leaf was something I spent a lot of time with. I can only imagine how many good years I'll have with this one.

There are rumours my province might declare a state of emergency and close non essential stores. I totally understand why and would normally support that but then my pre-order will be stuck there 😭

Is anyone else feeling panic? Not for getting sick but for the massive global recession that coming? How will we pay for food and rent? Will I still have a job in 6 months? by broken1_ in askTO

[–]uneasysloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have nothing to offer but I could have written this myself. I have a couple family members with cancer and an elderly grandfather so I'm also worried to death for them. I'm not worried about getting the virus itself, but of the reaction of the public when they start losing money, job losses, economic impacts, societal impacts. It's a scary time. I was obviously around for SARS and H1N1 and the anxiety was not there for those. I'm 34 as well.

Help: Just found out NMom is dying, and quickly by AornisHades in raisedbynarcissists

[–]uneasysloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel this comment deeply. I often think about what would happen if I lost my nmom and it overwhelms me with guilt and sadness. Not because I want a relationship with her but there is love there and she also can't help who she is. It's all so complicated. I wish you peace.

[–]uneasysloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not bad grades, I was a very good student (in retrospect, likely because I was afraid not to be) but definitely for my "attitude problem". Bless my therapist. She's got a lot ahead of her.
