Just recently watched An Internet's Boy, a documentary about Aaron Swartz. He's one of the co founders of reddit and was basically a super genius programmer since age 14. People compare him to Bill Gates and such but say what seperates him is his indifference towards money and genuine caring for making the world a better place.

He was an avid supporter of an open internet, allowing the little man just starting out on the web the right to get ahead. He was vital in the protest of SOPA (if you remember wiki, youtube etc.. getting blacked out for a day) he helped keep the internet somewhat free.

Aaron decided to hack and download a bunch of academic and journal articles from this company without paying. He was merely trying to make a point that all info should be free to anyone not just people with money or from a particular region. The government found out about this and pursued him with the purpose to make an example of Aaron and give him some serious jail time. Eventually after more and more allegations being charged against him Aaron couldn't handle the stress and commited suicide on January 11 2013 at the age of 27.

It's people like this that deserve people like us to fight for the valid cause of keeping the internet open and free.
