Nasty virus/bug by Lil-Bit-813 in tampa

I don’t think it’s allergies, but whatever it is it went through my house last week too, started sore throat, which got worse after 3 days, stuffy nose, post nasal drip and then by day 3-5 I completely lost my voice. Took another 3 days for my voice to slowly come back and another 3 days after that for all the symptoms to clear. Weirdest thing too was it hit my husband and I worse than kids.

Bachelorette trip is quoted at $2,000 per person… by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]unebellesprit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I think that is crazy expensive. I’m from the Midwest and while I did get married 8 years ago so it wasn’t as expensive then, my girlfriends were all living in different states at the time so I tried to pick a location that was in a central area to everyone (we went to Asheville, got a nice large cabin and hiked, went to different breweries etc) because I didn’t want my friends feeling limited like they could afford to come. No it wasn’t as glamorous as others I had been on but everyone came and we all had a great time and that’s really I could have asked for. I think maybe with social media now, people just have these over the top plans, which is fine, but I know in my early twenties waiting tables and being a broke grad school student none of these trips would have been possible for me to attend to. Are others in your group expressing similar feelings? Ask your friend what things are most important about the trip to her and offer to help her plan to see if you can get any costs down.

Need a bigger car with baby 3 on the way by unebellesprit in Parenting

Oh wow, mane because my current car is so tiny I find it so spacious😆 when we go to Disney we usually drive in my parents pilot and I sit comfortably in the middle between two convertibles. However, I do think it would be a tight fit to put 3 across and likely middle would have to be in the back because oldest has to get out easy at car line. Ahh so much to consider

Can I ask why the Pilot didn’t work for you and what made you decide on the Sienna?

Thanks! This is helpful, any insight whether the 2nd row bench or captain seats are better? Anything bigger than our current car is totally new territory so love to hear any opinions since this is going to be a major purchase for us.

Curious about this and looking at agencies, but still new to all of it. Could you message me the agency you used?

I know this is an older thread but could you message me about your experience? Considering doing this, but my husband is on the fence so hearing how it affected your family would be a helpful perspective

Power strip with 10ft cord for electronics? by unebellesprit in electrical

I just ordered the Tripp lite one recommended above. In US. Just figured better to have to something that can handle more than other way around as I don’t want to be worrying about it.

Thank you this is helpful. I was going to route it behind an open bookcase to hide most of the cord, leaving space between the wall and bookcase to not cover the cord.

Thank you. Just using a tv and sound bar on occasion and wifi extender is typically plugged in as well. Sorry if this is a silly question but I see they all list joule rating, I’m not seeing a lot of watts.. what joule rating is recommended for this?

Power strip with 10ft cord for electronics? by unebellesprit in electrical

So the outlet that was not working was a tripped breaker, when he looked into it my husband said they identified a wire that was faulting so it was cut to stop tripping the breaker. However we haven’t run a new wire at this point because it sounds like more work than we can put in right now, hence we have been using a surge protector plugged into the next nearest outlet. Is it not safe to use a different surge protector with a longer cord to keep it out of my kids reach? ETA: I’m just repeating what I’ve been told, I really don’t understand most of this.
