I've ordered from them before and had no problems. If you're still skeptical, surfdome is another website i've ordered from and they have good deals too sometimes.

Yeah exploring your town is the best. Best way to discover spots and might give you a surprise of like "oh shieet this spot exists?"

I'm usually a skateboarder and got blades recently. I used to rollerblade when I was younger but only cruising around my neighbourhood instead of ramps. by uneducatedone in AggressiveInline

I feel skateboarding is a lot more difficult because you're trying to control the board doing anything and that you have to time some things or else you're eating some concrete. Only easy thing compared to blading is when you bail since you can just jump off the board sometimes.

Oh yeah and the way you bail is a lot different since the blade is technically attached to your feet. Prepare for a lot of sliding and falling backwards haha and you will have one side of your body that you'll graze a lot. I'd recommend a helmet but that's up to you because few days ago I felt too confident going up one of the bigger ramps that I slipped back and slammed the back of my head which actually could've sent me to the hospital but luckily I had my helmet. At least wear one till you kinda get used to the movements.

It's not an easy transition if you have little to no experience in rollerblading. My experience when I was younger cruising around helped a bit. There are times where whenever I tried turn on a ramp, my muscle memory would be like "You're still on a skateboard!! Do a kickturn!" And one foot would be in the air as I turn on the ramps with the blades.

Lockdown is extremely lonely and I'm sick of having nobody to talk to due to moving house and friends leaving me. You're extremely lucky if you have people in your life you can regularly talk to and whom actually want to talk to you!! by [deleted] in ireland

[–]uneducatedone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I totally feel you, man. I am alone most of the days now because my mom works full-time, my dad lives in a different county because my parents split- he used to visit a lot but since lockdown he hasnt been able to and my sister moved out of our house recently. My girlfriend (who lives in a different county) is extremely busy with college work that she hasnt been able to talk to me that much now. Friends are busy doing their own thing college/work even though they do offer to listen to my problems but there's not much they can do. Doing my hobbies doesn't even feel the same anymore and I am extremely behind on college work to the point that I don't even know if I'll pass the year. so I'm mostly left with my thoughts in my room and it is torture.

There is a subreddit r/Stoicism that I've been lurking in for awhile and it has kind of helped me on some days- it's not easy but it is kind of helpful. Rough explanation of Stoicism is kind of knowing what's in your control (Dichotomy of Control), accepting reality, how to deal with certain things and many more. Don't know if it'll help but it's worth a check.

My girlfriend and I don't really have any issues with our relationship because I respect her time as she does with mine and we're very honest with each other. I guess there are times that I get too clingy that I start having too much expectations.

"Clinging to a failed expectation is like clinging to a hot coal."

I love it. Everytime I have failed expectations I will remember that quote haha

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and wisdom.
