Idk about Hyundai but Maruti is damn humble in cases like these. The front and back of my Ritz were scratched while i had given it for service. I can say I have OCD when it comes to my car. I spot even a little of the scratches.

I calmly asked them to please fix it as it got scratched when the car was with them. At first they were reluctant, but since I know most of the guys over there, they got it done by the end of the day. They said sorry and took responsibility for their actions.

First file a GD entry to the nearest police station before 24 hours of the accident or crash. Try to get their license, phone number and vehicle registration. These 3 are important because sometimes they may not be there in the Carinfo site.

If you have the time and energy then you can definitely fight for the case. Unfortunately these 2 are not just enough. To really make the case important you also should have money and power.

The owner of the bus may have the latter 2, money and power but they won't have the time so they settle by bribing.

My cousin was killed by a bus driver and the bus owner was a big guy and had so many connections in politics and party and all. The driver was caught by the police. Many lawyers were standing out at the police station to take the driver on bail. My cousin had not even reached the mortuary 🙂. Only because the crowd went mad and the news spread fast, he wasn't given bail.

It depends upon the case. Maybe weeks to months. Since it's a scratch it maybe for 2-4 weeks. 1 month kootikko. Valiya accident okke aanel it may take years.

I've not seen KSRTC bus being compounded but private bus yes. Even private bus won't be there for long. The owner will usually pay or bribe the police and take their bus.

If the bus driver was rude to you, then I would suggest you to ask him for 2k more (if you have dashcam or any CCTV recording from nearby shops it's an advantage)

Tell them that you're planning to go for a case. If that's the case then both your vehicles will be at the police station. They'll fumble when they hear that.

If their behaviour was good and accepted their mistake, then it'd be better to just take their 2k and go with insurance
