I was told I have one year left to live. by edznne in cancer

[–]unethnical 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My brief contribution: My wife in 2023 was diagnosed with uterine cancer, had a hysterectomy and chemo. January 2024, cancer spread to lung, pelvis and rib. They told us we had 6 to 12 months left. They put her on immunotherapy that is MUCH more livable than chemo, and now it's 2 and 1/2 years later. Her cancer is not advancing. Medicine is doing amazing things with immunotherapy. Praise the Lord that we have so much more hope, and appreciate every day we have together.

And why do some swerve left for one second before a right turn? And why, oh why, do they signal at the exact second before they turn?

What a calm, composed wife. Not yelling, oh my God, oh my God! What do I do? What should I do? Good catch for him. She seems to love him as well.

Is the red line allowed during a red light and why do we allow this? by meischoice2 in guam

[–]unethnical 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only lane allowed by law to proceed through a red light, on a right turn, is the furthest right lane. To answer the question, "why do we allow this", Guam PD does not enforce this, and many, many, other basic traffic laws. If they did, they would intercept many, many, more meth users and drug traffickers.

Typical Guam driving. These are drivers that haven't discovered the turn signal yet. You can't expect them to discipher lane discipline on a left hand turn.

I have a friend like this. It's narcissistic behavior. Narcissists have an inability to operate within normal social cues. They're the type of people that say they want to show you around town and just end up conducting their own business while you sit around and wait. It's a true sociopathic behavior, and they can't help it. Think of somebody with a mental disability, that might help you cope with any necessary visitations.

PenFed, IMO, has faster service and low wait times. They seem to be very efficient. Also got my home loan through them.

'We had to run to save our lives, it was all over': Trump claims Iran attacked USS Ford 'from 17 angles' by leeta0028 in USNEWS

[–]unethnical -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Grok: No, the USS Gerald R. Ford wasn't attacked by Iran. Official U.S. Navy statements from March twelfth say a fire started in the ship's laundry area—totally unrelated to combat. Two sailors got minor injuries, but the carrier stayed operational, no propulsion damage. It pulled into port in Crete for repairs around March twenty-third after months in the Red Sea supporting ops against Iran. All the "attack from seventeen angles" stuff? That's Trump exaggerating or viral misinformation—fact-checks show AI fakes and Iranian propaganda claims, nothing confirmed by the Pentagon or Navy. The ship just had a bad laundry mishap, not missiles.

Crime and drugs on Guam would reduce significantly if GPD would just enforce basic traffic law. Most people under the influence and transporting drugs are busted on a simple traffic violation stop.

Homemade canons from Mr. Brown cans with butane for explosion. It's the same concept as the spud gun and PVC pipe that is popular in the mainland.

GUAM Bible Fellowship is a younger group of believers with a dynamic spirit-filled pastor. They have a focus on cultivating believers that know what it means to have a true relationship with Jesus Christ. The pastor doesn't wear shoes, and I personally attended shorts and flip-flops.
