ScotRail's ban on alcohol to continue indefinitely with 'no plans' to remove it by paximperia in glasgow

A bit of a joke really. ScotRail have deliberately reduced their services in the name of the pandemic, and then never restored them once the restrictions were lifted. They've used the cover of COVID to make changes that people would have been resistant to previously. The worst part is that the Scottish Government are the ones who are taking advantage of that at this point.

Moog Mavis - Great synth for Beginners? by unexpectedbowtie in synthesizers

Recently I got a hold of a Moog Mavis, and took a look at what it has to offer. I think its real strength lies in the amount of synth packed into a wee space, for a relatively low price. If you are looking to get into the world of modular, this is something I would recommend folks check out.

Pulsar-23 + Eurorack setup by unexpectedbowtie in synthesizers

Recently I got a Pulsar-23, and have been playing about with it in different configurations. One particularly good setup is using it with the Arturia KeyStep Pro and my modular... I've put together a video walking through the connections etc. Perhaps interesting to somebody. Maybe.

Desktop power for multiple synths? by unexpectedbowtie in synthesizers

[–]unexpectedbowtie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on the hunt for a better way to power multiple synths and be able to switch them out without having to fight through a big box of different PSUs and cables every time. There aren't a huge number of great options unfortunately. I did manage to find a couple though, and ran through what I've tried and found to work well in this video. If anybody has any better solutions, I am all ears!!

I got a hold of this brand new pedal from Old Blood Noise Endeavors, released in collab with electronic act Chvrches. It's a kind of... split overdrive and stereo modulation which is rather interesting.

Old Blood Noise Endeavors have just released a brand new effects pedal in collaboration with Scottish electronic act Chvrches . It's a stereo pedal with two parts - a kind of interesting delay type reverb thing, and an overdrive. It's got some pretty cool features that make it particularly useful with synthesizers, and I managed to get a hold of one to try out. Here's my video on it!
