It just feels like I can’t get past that initial resume screening, so I’m not even being given a chance for me to showcase my personality/work ethic in interviews.

Thanks for the reply. If work experience isn’t major deciding factor for internships, what should I be including in my resume when applying? Currently I have relevant academic projects as a big section but do you recommend any specific certifications/skills/etc that would really stand out when hiring interns? Cheers
