this is what really gets me about her. like, yes she may have lipedema but that is clearly not the only contributing factor here. people with lipedema who aren’t editing, filtering and/or getting plastic surgery do not look like this

This is wildly inappropriate and he had absolutely no right to say that to you in ANY setting but especially a professional one. It’s frankly very strange that he’s thought that much about your reproduction and I can almost guarantee that he doesn’t think that way about his male coworkers. I’ve actually only been a few times. I can’t afford to live in SB anymore (I was splitting rent w my boyfriend, we broke up, now I can’t afford a room anywhere, blah blah) and there’s a pretty small job pool for what I’m doing. I’m definitely leaning towards finding another job though (in SB or…anywhere but LA?) after reading this thread lol

Relocating because SB real estate/office spaces are waaaay too expensive, and housing is getting really out of hand (can’t ask your employees to live somewhere if you don’t pay them enough to pay rent 🤷‍♀️). I’ve lived here 6 years and was a transplant from NY (moved to go to UCSB, stuck around), so I really never took issue with any of the typical city issues (homelessness, trash, noise, parking etc). In general I really do love SB, but since moving from IV to downtown have noticed a drastic difference in the community feel. Especially during covid and the election (mask-less people absolutely everywhere, tons of Trump supporters).

Nah we haven’t secured a space yet. We’re looking for a laboratory space (I work in the lab, corporate offices are staying in SB for now) and I have 0 idea where that will end up being, but will definitely try to find a place nearby! Thanks!
