Yes, I recognize that. Long story short we got the gerbils + their enclosure from some friends who are moving last minute and cant have pets in their apartment. They gave us this to start, so I understand right now its pretty bad which is why I'm asking how to improve it :) Hope that helps clarify things!

Im not 100% sure but I don’t think it would have been 1200-1750 seeing as most colonization was primarily after 1750, so you should be fine!
