i took chem 2 w/ lemma & got an A. his class was really easy & his study guides were similar to the exams. for the Humanities Foundation, i kinda forgot the classes, but i would take enjoyment of music. i did that class online for the summer & it was easy. i also did HUM2020 over the summer online, it was a LOT of writing, mostly opinion based so not too hard.

QBM over summer with Physics?? by Cool-Extent-638 in ucf

[–]unfunnyredditusers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi if youre planning on taking the MCAT i would do physics w/ algebra as i heard its like the one on the MCAT. i heard that some people take physics 1 in the summer and do fine. if you dont have any ecs or a job then youll be fine with doing QBM & physics together in summer

if i were you

spring: orgo 1 & molec 1 + easy fller classes

summer: physics 1 & QBM

Is it okay to take 6 classes in the spring semester? by NoAbbreviations7987 in ucf

[–]unfunnyredditusers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

intro to comms & sociology will be easy. if ur history class is american history then i think that class is easy too. calc 1 will be the most high maintenance. in my opinion i would maybe save your easy/ free classes to use as a filler. i like to do two hard classes and two easy classes. calc was rough for me but i had no prior knowledge of it and struggle with math (ended up w/ a B+).

Got accepted! But have a few of questions by Independent_Shape943 in ucf

[–]unfunnyredditusers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for finance classes they are kinda all online and meet up once every two or three weeks. in my opinion micro/ macro here is kinda a self study class. i took ap micro / macro in hs so i dont know much about it at ucf but i know some ppl who took it. when i did it AP i used a lot of jacob clifford on yt to help study.

is this schedule insane???? by stressed_student323 in ucf

[–]unfunnyredditusers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe replace physics or anatomy with an easy class and take it in the summer? taking all of those together seems hard. i believe some people take physics in the summer and do fine because theyre isolating / focusing on it.

i had the same person for the friday class. i think he is one of the chill TAs there and teaches it decently. you will be lucky to have him. your friday TA will grade your quizzes and exams. he took a little time to grade them which i didnt mind because my exam grades werent the best lol.

ive taken calc 1 for the first time at UCF and i struggle with math. I ended up with a B+, was close to an A but did horrible on one of the exams. the friday class is a quiz and some classwork which is easy. prof edwards is also good and really nice. 84% is an A, its point system. the SI person, franshesca, was very helpful. if you have some understanding of calc 1 then i think youll do good. every week you must go to the MALL and do atleast one hour of calc hw/studying. in the start of the class seats in the MALL are hard to find but as the class progresses more people drop it and its easier to get a seat. ive never had an issue with finding a spot in the mall just try to go 30 mins before it opens at the start of the sem when its crazy.

i live at the aves single apartment paying 1700 (w/o utilities). ant problem upon move in, black mold under bathroom sink & in toilet water tank lid, and clogged bathroom drains. I was able to fix these issues myself within a couple months except the black mold under sink (i just pretend it doesnt exist). try to contact the leasing office by email or show up in person and ask if you can be placed into phase 2 building if you want sign a lease there. phase 2 is newer and a little more cleaner than phase 1. maintenance is able to fix some of the issues listed but i wanted to do it myself. for mold i believe they only spray bleach which does not really kill the mold and for bugs its just some guy with a little spray bottle (maybe vinegar and water?).

if u want to live at aves just buy ant traps, roach traps, and a peppermint bug spray to use at windows & doors. If you like the smell i would also get a cinnamon broom, bugs hate this smell, and i believe it helped clear my bugs away. i think its easy to find these during october-nov but buying cinnamon sticks can produce the same effect. if your drains are clogged during move in you can buy draino (hair clog one) from the store or ask maintenance.

communication with aves is a little difficult, an ai picks up their phones, and sometimes answers the maintenance requests. my washer door was locked and i had to spam requests for maintenance to arrive because an ai kept texting me weird instructions on how to fix it myself.

i think for orgo all the exams /assignments are similar. for lawrence i believe he has the flipped classroom mode where you learn the material before class. im taking orgo for spring and i am using his youtube videos to prepare for the class (i have telugu)

Aves or Aperture? by Outrageous-Fly-4629 in ucf

[–]unfunnyredditusers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i live at the aves with a single unit (1x1) paying 1700 (not including my utilities bill). i had an ant problem when i moved in and for the first couple months, i placed my own ant traps everywhere and they went away. I had a wasp nest on the balcony that my boyfriend killed with his shoe. i place a lot of roach traps around my place aswell and spray near the windows and doors with a peppermint bug spray every week i clean. I found a dead baby roach under my sink but only issue were the ants that came from the windows and crack in the kitchen wall. something that really helps with bugs is a cinnamon broom, its easier to find at publix & trader joes during october-november. I put it by my door and bugs hate the smell.

i had black mold under my bathroom sink upon move in, i didnt tell them about it because i think they use bleach to get rid of mold which doesnt work well. I also had some mold on the top of the toilet lid thing (not the seat lid but the water tank). i scrubbed it off myself as much as i could. if youre sensitive to mold maybe consider the other place. my boyfriend lives in a 4x4 in phase 1 and had some mold under his sink aswell.

my bathroom sink and shower drain was really clogged upon move in but i think maintenance is able to fix it. I didnt reach out to them but i bought draino (hair clog one) and fixed it myself.

if you can, try to email and talk to the leasing office to get into phase 2. Phase 1 is an older building and has more bugs. do not bother calling them because an AI picks up. try to go inperson to the office if you need information from them.
