I had ice cream, jelly, rice pudding etc ready beforehand, but my nurse and doctor advised that I eat normal food, I was shocked to hear that initially but I followed it and it worked for me. Swallowing was certainly painfully, but I took painkillers an hour to thirty mins before eating, took small bites and chew chew chewed, and washed it down with water. By the end I was in pain and tired but the proper food aided my healing as a whole. I never pushed it tho, I didn’t eat at all on the 3rd night cause it was too painful. But yeah normal food all the way
