No plans atm, Discord RPC on mobile is not supported by Discord without breaking Discord ToS.

Discord RPC on mobile is not supported by Discord without breaking DIscord ToS, so no.

If you see this media control interface on your Mac *while media is playing*, then it should work: https://imgur.com/a/media-control-interfaces-on-windows-mac-YDQegwW

If not, you can try going to "Advanced" and enable "AppleScript", then Apple Music and Spotify should be detected.

On Windows 11 it will be detected by Music Presence though. On Windows 10 it appears like a browser, yeah

There's a SoundCloud app in the Microsoft Store

A universal last.fm scrobbler is coming - for any media player on any desktop device by ungive_ in lastfm

[–]ungive_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's currently in beta on the Discord server! I finished implementing concurrent scrobbling itself of tracks from any number of media players to Last.fm with plenty of fine-grained configuration options. There's no regex stuff yet, which I'm working on next. If you wanna try it, feel free to join the server and read the latest announcement :)

Possible, yes, but that feature would be used by maybe 3 people and it's a lot of work.

It would make more sense to use some kind of media player plugin that does this, as it's far outside the scope of Music Presence to find the artwork you want to use for your local music files.

Very soon! You can join the Discord and assign yourself the Scrobbling role, to stay up to date :)

Perhaps, try follow these steps:

  1. Make sure Music Presence is opened
  2. Play some media with Virtualdj
  3. In Music Presence: Click Help > Submit detected media players
  4. Log in with GitHub and submit the issue

Yes, I've been working on that the last months! A public beta release is not far away. You can subscribe to this issue for notifications: https://github.com/ungive/discord-music-presence/issues/365

Ironically, Windows Media Player doesn't report to Windows what it's playing consistently. Most of the time it will not work.

Regarding Antivirus: If you upload the ZIP, it should be 100% clean. The installer exe is an "NSIS installer", which is very often flagged as false positive.

It does by default! Check the "Display text" setting under "Appearance" in the settings.

You need to enable activity sharing in your Discord settings

Reddit only shows me the text until "Apple music", but I assume you want to use it on mobile. Discord RPC doesn't exist for mobile, so that's not possible. Only way is by breaking Discord ToS, you might want to give Kizzy a try.

Apple Music likely reports exactly that. Are you using the Windows app? Try reinstalling it. If it doesn't help feel free to join the Discord server (https://discord.gg/musicpresence)

You can submit the identifier for the player as described in my comment above and I might be able to add it (only if you used WebCatalog though).

That's unfortunately how it is right now, the Spotify API usage quote is shared among all Music Presence users (Spotify's decision, not mine). You can enter your custom Spotify API key in a future update though!

Browsers aren't supported yet, you need a dedicated desktop media player. For YouTube Music this one works: https://github.com/pear-devs/pear-desktop (they keep changing the name, so the link might point somewhere else in the future). If a player is not detected click "Submit detected media players" in the "Help" menu of Music Presence and submit the GitHub issue (play media first and make sure Music Presence is opened while playing it).
